Donald Trump has finally figured out how to run the country like one of his businesses… into the ground.
While riding during Spring Tune Up I was going to look for potential sites with a couple of farmable acres for “Final Chapters Estate” aka “Wee Little Homestead”. East Georgia is just as “red” as South Carolina, and cheaper than Western North Carolina. And because I can’t seem to stop getting information about a certain couple of hashers for whom I certainly have no interest, it may be time for me to get the fuck out of Dodge. Of course the stock market’s recent nose dive, in addition to the fact that I am old, means that it’s probably not going to happen.
Wordle: four, my starter was CRASH
Wordle in 3.
There was an “all hands on deck” call from the president of the Atlanta Fed yesterday- they don’t call it that, but it might as well have been. They still haven’t decided exactly how folks will start returning to work, but the handwriting is on the wall. I’ll still be 2 days in the office, as that’s what I asked for in my “extension contract”. Parking will be one issue, as the deck ain’t big enough to hold us all.
Almost 5 inches of rain yesterday/Sunday. That would have made for a sloppy mess of STU.

Good job with Wordle. While I am satisfied that I solved in four, I am prepared for everyone to better me.
We completely lucked out at STU.
how long is your extension?
Through the end of September. They wanted me to stick around for a year, but that wasn’t happening. So basically half the time for half their offer ($).
We did learn yesterday that the EO (executive order) referring to the hiring freeze was only good (initially) for 90 days. There may be some light at the end of the tunnel.
Did they ask you to stay on because they’re not allowed to hire a replacement for you under the hiring freeze? If that’s the case, they could almost certainly get an exception.
Paulie – you ought to talk to Breaststroke about land, she bought some acres out near Madison to build her forever home, plus she also has some family land out closer to Augusta (I think near Waynesboro) that has a cabin & she hunts out there.
She might have some suggestions.
Are you getting together with Randy while he is in town?
Sani got sprung yesterday from Emory – not sure how long she’s supposed to take it easy, but if we know her, she won’t listen to the doctors
Interesting idea to talk with her, thanks.
Apparently Sani was in Piedmont, as Dean found out when he went to Emory (so I heard). Yes, I had dinner with Sani, Kevin, and Randy last night and will get together with Randy again unless he needs to return to Raleigh today.
but- also – she leans pretty RED, so………..
Yeah, I knew that. 🙂
WORDLE IN 2 – IS THAT TWICE IN A WEEK?????
I did Nothing yesterday besides work, and watch TV.
I think all the pollen & being outside & exercise got to me, I had Zero energy.
Today I will try to be more productive.
Wait, what was Sani in the hospital for?? I know about TV Hair, but Sani is news…
Will send you details in a text
If there is a thread of humor in these two incidents, apparently TV Hair’s “In Case of Emergency” contact was Sani.
Which just reminded me to check my RoadID emergency contacts. Removed my mother, since she’s hard to contact wherever she is now.
I’m glad you said something about this, I need up update mine too.
New RoadID ordered, along with one for my son. This is the quality content that keeps me coming back to this space. 😉 Seriously, thanks, Paulie.
My pleasure.
And the comments regarding TV Hair from MC had me cracking up. Something about he would be heading to rehab and all I could think of is ” Rehab is for quitters!”
exactly – I’m pretty sure he has that t-shirt –
Allan has one
Finn is on spring break and he’s with us this year, so we have him all week. Since we usually go for sushi on Mondays we took him along. Then I watched the Red Sox break their win streak, wer wer.
It appears that some of my tomato plants are losing the battle of the chill. Pity, two of these were my very strong looking plants, but I suppose that sub-50°F has been too much cold for them.
