At the dentist- getting my permanent crown.
This 0730 am appt is early, but no waiting.

    Wordle in 4.

At the eye doc in Decatur for a follow up.

Ordered tires for the scooter and pulled the wheels last night and put them in the car to drop off after work. I couldn’t find my service manual, so it took longer than it should have. And somethings going on with the front suspension that I have to investigate.

    Riding tonight.

in & out in 30 minutes – maybe I like the 1st thing in the morning appt.

Yesterday I got most everything ready for STU – mostly packed – but need to weed out some stuff & figure out what I missed.
Most of the food is purchased – need to go thru the list & make sure we have everything.

Got plans tonight – a couple friends are moving to Houston tomorrow, so I don’t want to stress tomorrow morning.

Have you guys heard about this Read ID requirement? As of May 7 you can’t board a domestic flight without a Real ID. I heard about it yesterday and thought it was an April fool’s joke, but it’s not. All driver’s licenses renewed after 2012 should already be Real IDs, but check yours anyway, it will have a gold star in the upper right corner.

We went to A Mano last night. They changed up the entire menu and took the two things I really liked off. Now I don’t want to bother going back.

    • Barb says:

oh yeah – they’ve been talking about this forever.
      My license is the correct.
there is a state or 2 that hasn’t switched over (I think it was MN) & was reading about the problems it will cause

      • Jenka says:

My license is actually expiring on my birthday in June, so I have to renew anyway. Hilariously, I had just renewed my license when I got married, so I still have not changed my name. I changed my name with the SS office, but was too lazy to get a new license. So after all these years, I will finally have a license with O’Sullivan on it. I hope I don’t get divorced.

        • Barb says:

But – what does your passport say?

          • Jenka says:

Still maiden name! That expires next year so I will renew it with the new name after the first of the year. All these IDs are good for 10 years at a time!

          • Barb says:

I thought your Passport & DL have to match -so you need to plan for that if you are leaving the country for a trip .

          • Jenka says:

I’ve never used my DL on an international trip, I don’t think anyone would notice?

        • My license expires this year as well. Already have a reminder set.

          • David says:

You can renew your license at the Kroger Citi Center at 2685 Metropolitan Pkwy., Atlanta, GA 30315 via the kiosk. They charge a couple of dollars extra, but it saves going to the DMV and all of the fresh hell that surrounds that experience.

    • Steve says:

They have already put this off a couple times. I doubt they will enforce it yet until everyone has gotten on board (pun intended).

  5. Steve says:

I always think the first appoint should be quick, but I sat for an hour in the exam room waiting!! And we get to do it again in a month. Ugh.

  6. Back from a morning of choring, and for Barb, shopping. I did laundry, bought beer for this weekend, bought some buns to put sausages in this weekend, and then made a stop into IKEA for a few necessities. Considered walking to The EARL for an EARL burger, but given the amount of money I’ve spent already today, decided to make lunch at home.

    • Also, if you are an iBotta user and a Total Wine customer, now is a good time to take action. I bought a $100 Total Wine gift card via iBotta, received 12% ($12) back from iBotta, and used the gift card to purchase $93 worth of beer today.

    • Barb says:

what necessities is there to buy at IKEA?
I’m seriously curious, as I so rarely go there, and can’t think of anything that would be considered a necessity.

  7. Barb says:

Bike rack is sold – we are a 2 bike rack family now – no extension for more bikes

  8. I’m sputtering today, finding it hard to keep motivation. Good thing I have nothing else on the schedule today.

Also: M6 injected some doubt today when it didn’t immediately start after coming out of Kroger. Packing an extra fob battery, juuuuuuust in case.
