My inability to control my anger yesterday, after breaking the nozzle off the sprinkler, has turned out to be a $40 therapy session. After a while I realized that I probably could have rigged the sprinkler with $10 of hose repair parts instead of buying a new $50 sprinkler, but by that time the damage had been done and the tripod base of the sprinkler had been destroyed. Unfun Fact: even though the sprinkler head is screwed into the tripod base, it appears that you cannot just buy the base alone, you must get the head and base together.
what time are you going to get to STU next Thursday?
We are planning to be there 11-1130 – we should have a decent amount of people there by noon- ish.
Might be a decent size crowd, so the more people getting there early enough to save room will be good.
I will plan to arrive no later than 11:30, which given that I will be awake at 5:00 and it’s only an hour from me shouldn’t be too hard. Keeping fingers crossed that the weather cooperates.
About to start packing and head to Huntsville for the para time trial in the morning.
A nice 18 miles yesterday, almost half on gravel. In places where the county has recently spread fresh gravel, it’s still pretty loose. Hopefully a little rain and a bit of traffic will pack it in.
We actually got out for a ride last night – 20 miles.
If all goes as planned, we are going to ride again tonight.
Sunday weather is looking iffy – so not sure riding will happen, but we are hopeful, and planning on something late morning, early afternoon.
Spent 45 minutes with T-Mobile trying to debug why I couldn’t claim MLB.TV offer on my iPhone . I gave up, and had success with my iPad. The irony is that I may not watch 45 minutes of baseball this entire season!
MLB.TV is SO glitchy. Yesterday I had a lot of trouble trying to bring the game up on my desktop. Then I cleared my cache and it worked. Then at home I tried on my iPad, and I had to try it like three times before it actually showed the game. *Sigh*
The Warriors at the Plaza Theater last night was EXCELLENT. A geeky podcast movie buff gave a talk before the movie, and then had some audience discussion afterwards.
Wordle in 6 today…I was literally hanging by a thread.
Woody’s needs to work on their process – took WAY TOO LONG when there are just a few things on the menu. Place is tiny & skinny – only 2 tables for more than 2 people – plus a couple tables on the little back patio.
We went next door to Contrast’s little patio (brewery) that doesn’t open until 3pm.
Sandwich was good – but – nowhere near as good as Fred’s.

Oof, I remember having anger issues at that level.
Guess I’m proof that growing old doesn’t necessarily mean growing up.
In my experience, the anger festers until you do something about the root cause. It’s not something you’ll ever just “grow out of”.
I live with Mr Anger Issues at inanimate things that aren’t working correctly. I understand – but it still annoys me when things get broken.
HULK SMASH!!!
Sometimes that is the best therapy.
I was once known as “Wee Little Hulk”. 🙂

Better go check the batteries in my stopwatches.
A good weekend to all.

Baseball’s back, baby! The Red Sox won and the Braves lost in a thrilling opening day game! Otherwise it was a quiet night at Kevka Kastle.
Where is STU this year? Is it always in the same place?
it’s out in Rutledge, just outside of Madison.
Been in the same location for some time, which makes it easier for me to plan.

took me 5 – and I thought all my words were good guesses
Yeah, I kept adding one more green letter at a time as I edged my way toward disaster.
Debbie saw Wee Little Bit out and about on a walk while she was out running today.
