After having my Wordle streak stolen last week, I lost it the normal way on Saturday.
Saturday evening, the usual hunt friends gathered to play dominoes. There were 8 of us and it took a while but we made it through a full double 12 set. The winner didn’t break 100 and Debbie and I brought up the rear, both over 500!
Yesterday, I had grand plans of a 27 mile ride. Then there was wind and I knew the last 5 miles would be net uphill, with traffic and into the wind. A 20 mile out and back was enough and it still kicked my butt.
I have come to realize that my recent roof leaks has made me somewhat paranoid with each rain. Whenever I hear an unfamiliar sound I ponder whether or not I should go up into the attic and have a peak.
an exciting weekend in Iowa, hopefully Jenka had the same fun in MA.
Saturday we took dad on a little roadtrip around town –
We went & got some local duck & chicken eggs, went out to a park & a lake where we got sunburned a lot as teenagers (that place seemed much bigger when I was young), had lunch with our nephew, and then drove around a very scenic way back home. We were out for 4 hours, that’s the longest Dads been out of the house in forever.
Sunday took Connie to the airport and then went to Great Clips for a Shave & a Haircut – 2 Bits. (yes, we said that more than a couple times, and it was more than 2 Bits) Watching basketball later, I saw we could have saved $10 if I’d seen the commercial & gotten a coupon. Oh well…..
You had WAY more fun and exciting things happening than I did. Dad can’t go anywhere for 100 days after the transplant so we sat in his apartment the whole weekend. He gets tired around 6:00 and is in bed by 8:00, so I take myself to Applebee’s for dinner and then read my book in my hotel room. One night I went to Pizzeria Uno instead of Applebee’s. That was exciting.
this morning we had birthday cake for breakfast dessert for the 2nd day- Connie & I decided we’d celebrate #95 early & took pictures to use in a couple weeks. He just keeps telling me it isn’t his birthday yet. He does know his birthday is April 7th.
A pretty good weekend up in MA. Flew up Friday morning and came back yesterday. Dad’s doing really well, he’s basically back to his normal energy level. I didn’t have to do much for him so mostly we just visited and read our books. Kevin went to the Grant Park Porchfest on Saturday and had a good time.
I didn’t know about the GP Porchfest. Oh well, I had fun hanging out with my buddy Hank at 97 Estoria. As an added bonus, and why I love this time of year, I walked there and back!
Mayhem at the ITP Estate this morning as I clumsily knocked over a filled cup of black coffee. It spilled all over a kitchen counter, getting on everything which sits on that countertop, and then down onto the floor. Ugh.
if spilling some coffee is mayhem – yikes!
I spill shit all the time – sucks to clean it up, but – the counter & everything else gets cleaned, so its a partial win.
Just found out Miles & Andrea are coming to STU – buy she doesn’t have a bike anymore. So, she’s just coming to socialize.
Miles said she is trying to talk Betsy into coming.
Wordle in 5.

With STU quickly approaching I should be on the saddle whenever possible l but instead, I spent yesterday playing in WLF.
