I don’t know which tree it was, but one or more in my neighborhood had a bumper crop of seeds this year. For the past handful of days I have been plucking tiny saplings from WLF’s garden beds constantly. Yesterday I also discovered that I had erroneously transplanted a tree sapling which had snuck its way amongst a group of seeds I planted and have been keeping alive indoors.

I’d like to report a crime!! My streak has been stolen! Sitting in the parking lot at the doctors, I finally got a 6 and even posted it on a social media site which you no longer participate in. This morning, my streak was zero! Wordle in 5.

We finished watching “Zero Day” last night. A bit too close to home with the current news, but well acted and not a huge investment, with only 6 episodes.

Not sure where Spring went, but I had to turn on the furnace this morning as the air conditioner wasn’t cutting it!

    Happy Friday, all.

    another exciting day in Iowa.

But- my idiot brother that lives in the basement was actually around, so Connie & I went out for a little happy hour margarita with one of my high school friends.
That was nice, and I bought her margarita as payback for picking me up from the airport Tuesday night.

  3. Going to an event at Emory tonight, hoping parking isn’t too much of a cluster fuck.

Connie found shrimp on sale – so now we are making shrimp & grits for dinner!
That works for Lenten food (not that my Dad remembers its Lent)

    • Hell, I didn’t remember/care that it’s Lent. 🙂

Shrimp grits sounds delicious. I have shrimp in the freezer, and grits in the cupboard, but will probably eat out tonight given that the doors for the event open at 6:30. The event is a book talk/signing by John Green, the author of “Everything is Tuberculosis”.
