Should have gotten exercise yesterday, but didn’t. I did turn in my tax paperwork, however.

    Good morning –
work was pretty busy yesterday – so didn’t get the walk in that I wanted in the afternoon.
Ended up going with some friends to see a friend sing at a pizza place in Kennesaw last night.

Wordle in 5. After 3 guesses, I only had 1 letter.

WHERE DID THE WIND CoME FROM? I went out after work and barely managed 13. I hate riding in the wind..

We’re off to the eye doc for a follow up visit, then prolly lunch in the Decatur area.

We finally received our Peach Pass in the mail. I know it’s gub’ment, but that seemed damn slow. Ready to take on the Toll-R-Coaster!

      Tollercoaster
      Ooh ooh ooh ooh 🙂

      TGIF!

    • I have a Peach Pass, that I rarely use especially since I am driving a lot less these days. I also have an EZ-Pass that I will be canceling next month since they charge $1/month maintenance fee, which is slowly draining my balance.

Food at Brick Store looked great as I sat at the bar drinking beer yesterday afternoon. John (aka HamWithCam) or Jenka might be able to give you suggestions.

the I-75 Tollercoaster is almost ALWAYS worth the money.
One time for $3 or so, we saved 20 minutes going up to Woodstock.
That $3 was soooooooooo worth it.

and – this reminds me – if (really when) we get the new truck – we need to fix it on their website. Even though we will keep the same license plate – the truck won’t match.

  3. I still am trying to motivate to ride today.

In the meantime I’m having a lovely morning drinking coffee, eating toast, and watching birds bathe and drink from my water basins outside on the deck.

OMGGGG – There was a house fire (& someone died going back in for a pet) last night on the street behind our house. I slept thru all the sirens. I never feel like I sleep that deeply. I’m kind of freaked out right now.
Mary heard the sirens – from the other side of Powers Ferry, and I didn’t.

Back from my trip to Dallas, good times meeting in person people I only talk to over Microsoft teams. If things go well this year we will be taking a trip to Ireland in September for another “Town Hall” meeting.
Now it’s time to get off my ass and get training for BRAG!!

  6. REI let me down yesterday. I’m not saying they were wrong, but I left as a disappointment “co-op member”. I tried returning a brand new, in the box, attachment to my bike rack to carry a bike for someone with whom I no longer interact. I did not buy it at REI, but REI sells it, so I hoped they’d give me store credit that I’d spend while I was there. If you ever saw the completely used crap they take as returns and try to resell, I thought my mint-condition still-in-the box item would be accepted, but I was denied.

I will most likely eat the $40 I paid for it almost four years ago, and donate it to a Goodwill.

    • Barb says:

take a picture & get me a description – bring it up here.
      – we are going to sell some Yakima racks on FB Marketplace soon, I can try to sell it for you.

REI might not sell that exact part? or – what did they say? did you tell them you got it as a gift & don’t have the receipt?

      • They sell that exact part, I checked. I said it was a gift that I couldn’t use but the clerk told me she’d have to see proof of purchase, either a receipt or getting my friend’s REI member number so she could look up the purchase.

I’ll text you the information about it and a photo.

        • Barb says:

my answer – my friend doesn’t have a membership – they never bothered to get one. I don’t think I have a membership number. Allan does.

  7. Can you believe we are about two weeks away from our five-year COVIDversary?

  8. Jenka says:

Hi! Yesterday was a looooooong day getting dad discharged from the hospital and driving him home to central MA, then getting him settled and fed. Today we went grocery shopping and did some errands. Organizing his meds is the most complicated part! But overall he’s doing well. My brother and I had dinner at a Pizzeria Uno last night and it was pretty good.
