At the airport at 3:20am, my brother has to be at work at 3:30.
Desk opened to check my bag at 4:00.
There were at least 10 people sitting around there when I arrived.
Hot upgraded to -at class, decided being up this early deserved a cocktail.
Screwdriver it is!
Damn Barb, that’s crazy! I think I’d be drinking as well.
Starlink device seems to be having issues. We’ve had to reboot a couple times to bring it online. We have backup connectivity through a hotspot, but the cameras all run through the Starlink and Debbie wants to keep an eye on Cash.
I swear I saw a forecast that said it would be 75 later today!
Wordle in 3 using Paulie’s word.
Rain, Rain and more rain. Might do indoor chores…or I might do a puzzle. I have a Galentine Tea on Friday at the Swan House and no shoes. Might have to go shopping today. I hate shopping.
My nephew and his wife had an 5 am flight back to Phoenix. Left here at 2:30 a.m.
Fun having the whole Arizona clan here. The kids decided to rake my back yard…now I have a really large pile of leaves to do something with.
Lots of touristy stuff and a visit with mom.
I only own running shoes and sandals. I plan to wear nice slacks or a dress…so some sort of dress shoes???? I don’t own any.
I do know leaves make good mulch. I was just leaving them back there but now they are raked into a gigantic pile. hahaha
Break in the rain allowed me to do some water retention management, which is a fancy way of saying that I used a pail to move water from one rain barrel, which was full, to another,
Cashed in Chase points for a $100 Amazon gift card. Have promptly spent $90 (including sales tax), for my only Amazon purchase allowed for February. Hell, we are almost halfway through the month, so that’s not too extreme.
Welp, today is the day of my dad’s stem cell transplant. He’s been in the hospital for a week and complains that he’s so bored. Despite the gravity of the transplant, the reality is that it’s just a blood transfusion. Which is why I don’t have to be up there for it. Flying up tomorrow because they give him his first batch of drugs to encourage the transplant to “take” on Friday.
We went to that new Greek place in Va-Hi where El Taco used to be: Ela. I had the chicken skewer and it was deLISHus. The service is really good, too.
I was thinking of visiting Nick’s for the first time in a looooong time, but I’ve read many negative reviews since the passing of the restaurant’s matriarch.
Also, drove past the now-closed Java Jive yesterday on my way home from the Waschsalon.
Channeled my inner Kyle (is that the male equivalent of a Karen?) to ensure that the Boutte Tree truck didn’t rip down any of the cables attached to the ITP Estate, nor my neighbor’s house.
back to my desk – that Sky Priority tag had my suitcase right out & very few other bags, or (probably) everyone on the flight was connecting somewhere.
Having no gutters at the moment made me very wet trying to put in the code to get the garage door to go up
The food court on campus has been under construction this entire academic year, so in the interim they have a schedule of food trucks that come to campus every day. Today’s food trucks are:
6 Pack Subs
The Cheezy Truck
Love at Wurst Sight
Gaston Street Eats
I wanted to check out The Cheezy Truck but I am not walking over there in the freezing rain!
If you answered “Suck it up, Buttercup. Get wet moving the water because it’s the right thing to do!” give yourself a point. I got wet moving about seven buckets worth of water, and am pretty sure the main barrel will be filled again by tonight.
Hiya guys! 🙂 Yeah, I stalk y’all routinely. I just typically have nothing important or meaningful to say. Maybe that’ll change sometime…but I doubt it. 😉
You know what truly sucks? Putting on weight in the waist first, making long paints which once fit comfortably too tight. Even worse when this occurs when it’s 42°F outside.

Wordle in 4, Paulie wins today
But Betsy beat me with a deuce.
She cheats! lol

Leafs make wonder leaf mulch, over time. Just a suggestion…
Oooh, a puzzle? Nice. I may start one tonight as well. Too many other things to work on first, however.
When you said “no shoes” I thought you meant your tea at Swan House was barefoot, and I was astonished! 😀
What shoes do you need for tea?
I only own running shoes and sandals. I plan to wear nice slacks or a dress…so some sort of dress shoes???? I don’t own any.

Not for nuthin’ but I wear black sandals with nice slacks/dress most of the time. Although the weather might not be conducive to sandals…
Thanks Jenka!
Sal runs 50k in ice storms. I think she can handle wearing sandals in 50°F. Of course I could be very wrong about that. 😀

Slight turbulence, we got service in 1st class, no one else. Spending lots of money on my Amex for the win!
Congratulations? 🙂 You may be able to see your new roof from 30,000 feet. Hahaha. Safe travels.
Was it second screwdriver time? I love how in airport and on airplanes you can drink at any time of the day with impunity.
Flight attendant was happy I ordered a drink. She seemed sincere

Hmm, I had not heard that she passed — I would definitely be wary if it’s under new ownership. That place was so special!
I think kids/grandkids have taken over, but not quite figured shit out.
Sending positive vibes!!

I always thought it was Kevin… hahahahahaha
You are probably right.

Geez, the rain barrel from which I removed about seven gallons of water earlier has already been refilled by this rain. What to do, what to do?

Wordle in 2! Best hit in a while. 🙂
My start was RAINS (it’s always the first 5-letter word to pop into my head each day). One guess why today’s was RAINS….
good job Stacy!!! (and – Hi!)
Wow… hello Stacy!! That’s a great word to start with!
Hiya guys! 🙂 Yeah, I stalk y’all routinely. I just typically have nothing important or meaningful to say. Maybe that’ll change sometime…but I doubt it. 😉
I thought the agreed upon ITP term was “lurking” as opposed to “stalking”. 😉
Same starter as Betsy
Great mind, that Betsy! 😀
Hi Stacy!
Hiya Jenka! 🙂
WordPress is acting pretty strange after an “update”. I don’t know shit about website maintenance, so if the blog disappears, you now know why.
