I watched Home Alone last night. Every time I watch a movie made pre 9/11 that has an airport scene I miss freedom.
Wordle: four, my starter was STEAL
Connections: fail, X > X > Blue > X > X
I have to admit that I lost patience with Connections this morning and essentially quit by picking random tiles for my final two guesses.
Wordle in 3 and coulda been 2.
Transmission place said all is well with the Mazda- no charge! They did determine my battery was failing as they had to jump it off to get me going.
Friday night 7 of the usual suspects met for dinner at Knife and Stone, a very high end restaurant in downtown Newnan. Great food, but the damn place is LOUD which really makes me not want to go back. I was feeling my “not a Christmas bonus” burning a hole in my pocket and picked up the tab. Merry Christmas, friends.
Saturday, still feeling a little puny from my vaccinations, it was new battery day for the Maz. That Alison solved the remote key issue (who knew?).
The front neighbors at the former JEFDSDR had a Christmas party and I went stag as Debbbie was wiped from hunting in middle Ga. The neighbors converted the barn into a full apartment with horse stalls! Really well done.
Sunday was a lazy day. A few chores and a visit from the saddle fitter.

Wordle in 2 after matching only the 3rd letter in my first attempt. I consider that a nice recovery.
Flu shot on Friday, I may have gotten the placebo because I didn’t feel any effects.
With regard to Dante’s Inferno, with my regard to my divorce I have clearly worked through the first 9 levels of hell, and have now broken ground in the fucking subbasement.
I can’t recall if I’ve said here that according to Willie Nelson, “Divoce is expensive, because it’s worth it.” Those are my words to live by these days.
Sorry to hear about the continuing divorce saga. I hope it ends soon. Mine was certainly unpleasant, but we were able to be adults, mostly.
I got a flu shot – I didn’t notice any effects either.
bummer on the divorce “fun”, hopefully it will be over soon.
good morning –
busy enough weekend
Friday night -dinner out in East Cobb at an old school Italian place that has been around forever with a couple friends (so it wasn’t new construction, and wasn’t too loud & we could hear each other)
Saturday got up & went riding again at Silk Sheets – a little cool & breezy, but we survived, and Allan made it without crashing (IYKYK)
Went to Cochran Mill brewing after, met Davey, ChewChew, Deposit & Oops after their Habitat build. Old friend hashers Janie (Yeast Infection) and Michael (PeeWee) who live down there met us for a beer too. Great to see them.
Then – back home & off to a 60th birthday party in Alpharetta.
that was a lot of driving.
Sunday – Black Sheep was up in Alpharetta, it was Christmas party hash, so another driving day. But – it was a fun rainy day to spend the afternoon at Jekyll brewery, and a good day to skip trail.
Damnit, I totally forgot about you guys being 10 minutes away. I was settled in watching football too so not sure I could have ripped myself away.
Friday night we were supposed to meet friends whom we hadn’t seen since before the pandemic but they cancelled so we pivoted to General Muir. Saturday we did some errands and went to the Albert for lunch. In the evening we went to a birthday party for my bestie Sarah’s partner, Elayne. Sunday I read my book all day, it was glorious. I put football on in the background but I didn’t add sound until the Pats game at 4:30. Which was the usual shitshow. Ugh.
Allan was watching football at the brewery – ignoring the hashers as much as he could.
That’s funny. Does he not like hashers?
he does, but he wanted to watch football.
Which game was he watching? Just curious, because the Falcons weren’t playing yesterday.
Chiefs – Browns
then – the big game – Bills – Lions
I often do that with Connections or Wordle. I do not let any kind of frustration about these games have any real estate in my head. So sometimes I just say “fuck it” and guess wildly until they tell me the answer.
I do the same, way too often. I just don’t care enough to try hard if it doesn’t come to me easily.
I’m only religious about Wordle, as I’m about to set a high streak of 132 this week.
Yep, I only have the bandwidth to be religious about one thing, and that thing for me is Duolingo. Currently on a 1026 day streak.
Happy holidays ITP’ers!
Been lurking for a while, have not had anything interesting to say so have been quiet.
I’ve been insanely lazy lately, need to break out of my slump. Hopefully signing up for BRAG STU and big BRAG will motivate me to get out and ride, I want to be in better shape this year so I don’t suffer again.
Still bowling and having a blast at it, I’m carrying a 175 average and rolled a 555 series last week. I would love to roll a 600 series before the end of the league, we’ll see.
yesterday was a day to be lazy.
It took some convincing to get Allan to go to Jekyll.
But – I had made these peanut butter bars for the party, and I really don’t need all of then to be sitting here at my house.
(there are plenty left over unfortunately)
Head Nurse is trying to get us to host the ATL hash 2300 on 1/11
Hmmmmmm
Back from a two mile walk. It is beautiful outside right now.
Getting my year end ducks in a row, looking toward next year. Going to have to figure out my health issues, I just have so much bad shit going on with my health, especially for someone who us (still) under sixty. I also have to get my financial paperwork in order.
Metal roof guy is here to do an estimate – we will see what this is gonna cost………
