    Wordle in 4.

A steady day yesterday- not too busy and not too slow.

Tonight we will prepare for cold temps tomorrow. Drain the barn plumbing, put a bulb in the wellhouse to keep that warm. It’s not going to be THAT cold, but we might as well get everything organized. The last few mornings, the pastures look like it snowed with all the frost.

We had friends use our cabin over Thanksgiving and I didn’t think to ask them to drip the faucets because I didn’t think it would get this cold. Now I’m worried!

  2. And now that I am home from a lovely week in North Carolina I intend to stay as close to the ITP Estate as possible for the remainder of the year.

well – its Whamageddon time – my sister is already out.
She made the mistake of listening to the radio on the way to work.
I usually get Whammed at the grocery store or a restaurant.

I got into a Jackson study – they had evening hours for once- so 6:45pm tonight I’ll go to taste test some sort of frozen seafood. (I need some more Amazon gift card money ;-))
Then I’m going to have dinner with Davey & Chew Chew, to make my driver to the Perimeter Mall area worth it.

    Purple – X – X – Green – Blue – Yellow –
yellow is supposed to be the easiest – I’d have never gotten that.

And – more importantly – Wordle in 3 – that was some good guessing!!!

31 degrees this morning! I thought we lived in a warm area? I had to use my real coat this morning!

I didn’t have the energy to make the shepherd’s pie last night and I probably won’t get to it until Wed. I also need to make a soup out of the last of the honey-baked ham.

I was thinking about something my mom made (never confuse her for a good cook). She took a corned beef and made soup- green beans, barley, some little potatoes. Very simple but very good.

      • Barb says:

my mom never cooked anything with barley – ever.
I should make something with barley someday.

      • Jenka says:

I never use barley but I am not opposed to it; it just never occurs to me. For this soup I’m going to use leeks, cabbage, potatoes, and ham. Maybe some white beans, too.

for anyone reading this late –
Annette & I went & checked out the new & improved Cobb county senior services center this afternoon – they were having an open house.
Nice place, lots of great things going on for retired people that are available to do things during the day. BUT – they do have a fitness center, that is open until 7pm Tues – Thurs – totally free. So, we are going to get signed up & what the hell – I really need to get some strength training going again. And – probably some cardio too.
