    Barb, has Allan’s brother’s family doing been affected by the weather in Spain? Hope that they are okay.

    Wordle in 4.

    Plans for working out last night were derailed when we discovered a section of downed fence that Tanner tore up. We were well into darkness cobbling it back up and if he decides to be a jerk again, he’ll be able to take it out easily. A$$hole.

    Do any of you get trick or treaters in any quantity?

      In 2020 at the height of the pandemic my one-block street decided to meet at the top of the hill and parade down the hill. Every house put their treats on the sidewalk or a table on the sidewalk and all the families walked down and up the street and the kids got treats. Some houses had coolers of adult beverages, too. It was so fun that we do it every year now. Once that is over, we get a few trick or treaters. I think last year we got like 10.

      I used to. They would practically bus into my street in Grant Park. I’m expecting exactly zero trick-or-treaters this evening in my 5th floor apartment.

      We are trying to decide what to do during trick or treating time tonight.
      We won’t get but a few if any trick or treaters – so, do we just keep the front of the house dark? Do we leave & go out for a few hours? Hmmmmmm

    Yesterday was slow enough work wise –

    I went to Chicken Salad Chick for lunch, then Davey was meeting Bindlestiff at Schoolhouse for a mushroom growing ingredient exchange at 2:30. So, I went & had a beer & got back in time for my 3:30 conference call.

    I met a former co-worker for drinks last night at Dead End Drinks, which used to be called Ration + Dram, on Arizona. That place is great! They give you a list with all the options and you can create your own charcuterie board.

    I put chili in the crockpot this morning so Kevin could feed Finn before the onslaught of candy. Somehow I am completely out of canned tomatoes?! So I had to use spaghetti sauce instead. I hope it turns out okay!

    Allan’s new E bike has come in – he’s off to the bike shop. I wonder what parts/accessories he will need to buy to go with it.
    I guess we will have to go road bike ride very soon.
