Not nearly enough exercise for a beautiful weekend. A run/walk Saturday and an indoor ride Sunday.
We have a temporary equine resident. Jill’s horse Maggie had a foal and we’re keeping her while the baby weans. Debbie had all the planning done on the transfer and housing, but now everyone is together and getting along.
Happy Monday!

very busy weekend that started out slow Friday night just hanging on the deck eating leftovers.
Saturday we went to Ott Vineyard (near Ellijay) for JoAnna’s birthday, band wasn’t all that great, but they weren’t overly loud, so it was ok, we could still talk.
Stopped in Canton at a friend’s Halloween party, we took soccer jerseys so we could pretend we were in costume. Kal does an incredible amount of decorating, so we always feel the need to check out what all he’s done. A couple people had great costumes.
Sunday got up & went for a 5+ hike with birthday boy Kevin. Got done in time to go to Wheeler High’s play – Young Frankenstein with Kristina. Her daughter Libby was on the crew in charge of the spotlights. I do have to say, they have some talented kids in high school, might have to go to more high school plays as the price is very reasonable ($20) compared to going to the Fox or other places.
Then – dinner for Kevin’s birthday at Crooks & Soldiers in West midtown? WestSide? West of GA Tech? No idea what that neighborhood is called – but it was at 14th & Howell Mill.
Anyway- dinner was excellent -but very pricy. There were a few things on the menu we really enjoyed, but if we go again I know Allan & I would order differently. (with 6 people we decided to go with the $85/pp chef’s experience.) Wine list was very pricy too. But it was excellent, don’t get me wrong.

conniptions – could not figure it out today.
LOLOLOLOL! I assumed you weren’t watching, Paulie, or I would’ve texted you. The Jets actually played better football but the timing at the end allowed the Pats to get that last touchdown. It was so exciting! And the Pats actually WON a game! I made pigs-in-blankets at the start of the game and a big plate of nachos after halftime.
On Saturday we watched The Comeback on Netflix which is a documentary about the 20 year anniversary of the Red Sox coming back from a 3-0 ALCS to win the ALCS and then the World Series in 2004. The documentary was in three parts and I think it was like four hours long. I am not sure anyone who either isn’t a RS fan or at least a longtime baseball fan (Kevin knew most of the players just because he is a lifelong baseball fan) would get much out of it. But I thought it was great.
4 HOURS of Red Sox baseball? … and Debbie thinks Antiques Roadshow is torture…
yep- not something I will ever watch.
I mean, it wasn’t like a 4 hour baseball game, it was a documentary about the factors that contributed to the greatest comeback in baseball history, with lots of player and management interviews, re-plays, and fan feedback. But yeah, not something non-baseball fans would ever watch. Or Yankees fans.
What an amazing 3 day weekend! Weather was perfect, bikes performed flawlessly, and so many stories and sights seen along the way. The foliage all weekend was just amazing too, it was like riding through a painting. I will definitely do this trip again and am already looking forward to the next one.
I have another 3 day trip in mind that stays in Georgia and has less brutal days. We were on the bikes for 8 hours each day so the next trip will be slightly less so we can spend more time in the pass through towns and have more time to chill at the end of the day.
The pics were great but 8 hours in the saddle is a bit much!
looked fun, but yeah -that’s a long time sitting on a bike.
… even one you don’t pedal.
