Wordle in 4.
I’ve already shoveled out 2 weeks of emails. It doesn’t appear anything burned down while I was gone, so that’s a good thing.
We made a quick trip to Tucker and Stone Mountain yesterday, as well as a stop at Costco. Ummm… bagels!
All our pastures are now overseeded with winter rye, so as soon as it rains (fingers crossed) we should have something for the horses to eat this winter.
-FP
you go to Costco for bagels? Stocking up the freezer for winter?
Yes, this confused me as well.
2nd!
nothing too exciting going on around here. Work was busy the 1st couple days this week, then yesterday was not much. So, Allan & I went on a morning walk around the ‘hood & no one noticed I was gone.
Made a pizza on the Egg, took the wireless DVR & TV out to the deck & watched TV out there. Weather was perfect – almost made a fire in the chiminea, but decided we didn’t feel like staying outside that late.
Tonight is dinner with my October birthday friends – Sally, JoAnna & Stephanie.
did my 1st (of 4) questionnaires about laundry detergent. I haven’t done any of the market research stuff in forever, as I can’t do the in person ones. But -take home, I can do. I have 2 different bottles of detergent – still using the 1st one for 3 weeks, then I’ll move on to the 2nd one for 3 weeks. Once its over – I’ll get $150.
I wash a white & a black t-shirt with every load of laundry.
Do you have to do a certain number of loads?
no – but I’ve actually done a few more than usual – not quite as full, so they don’t think I’m scamming them for the $150. I have a log sheet. I’m up to 9 (camping & bike riding has helped with the extra laundry)
I had to work late last night so I didn’t have time to cook and hadn’t gotten my shit together in the morning to load up the crockpot. So we went to Surin. I was so late that by the time we got home from dinner it was Finn’s bedtime. Today is a busy day as we have an all day alumni board meeting.
We got the estimate to fix our sidewalk where the tree crane crushed it. You can see the deep hollows where the wheels rested on the sidewalk and the stone hexagonal tiles are crushed everywhere. Sunday was the L5P Halloween parade and my street was a complete madhouse with people trying to find a parking spot, and I watched some dude literally TRIP over our sidewalk as he was walking by.
tripping over sidewalks in Atlanta – isn’t that what you are supposed to do? I remember one year doing the Breast Cancer walk, they wanted us to stay out of the roads, but the sidewalks were so horrible we walked in the roads way too much.
YES. The sidewalks are so bad, which is one reason why we are sticklers about having our sidewalk in good shape. Do you know how many strollers go past out house? We want to keep them out of the road.
Bowling last night, seems like my team can’t all be on the same page. I bowled well but Laura had a terrible night and Travis was average. We only took 1 of 4 available points. When we all hit our average or above we usually take all 4 points. It’s rare for all 4 of us to have good nights at the same time. Sometimes frustrating but always fun, I’m happy we joined this league.
Tomorrow we have a wellness day off from work so I’m taking it to start a 3 day motorcycle trip. Smokey mountain 500 route is 500 miles of mostly dirt/gravel roads through Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Camping in Robbinsville NC tomorrow night and Tellico Plains TN on Saturday night. Can’t wait, weather should be perfect!
This sounds like a blast! Please report. Also, keep me in mind as I don’t exactly have an “offroad” bike- not that that stops me. Consider if I would have problems on the route with my 80/20’s.
Steve I’m sure it can be done on your bike, it depends on how much damage you are willing to impose LOL! It is mostly gravel roads/fire roads but there are some pretty nasty sections and a handful of water crossings. I have not seen the farthest north parts so will comment on that when I get back.
Is it like a tournament? How many weeks is it? And where do you currently stand amongst the competition? Can I ask more questions?
It’s a mostly offroad route through NGa and the Smokies.
LOL! I meant the bowling.
I may be an idiot…
Steve – sorry -that comment totally made me laugh
That’s a seriously rough bowling alley. No wonder Bob’s team can’t keep it together. 😉
You can ask all the questions 🙂 It is a 28 week league with a break during the holidays so more like 2 14 week leagues. We have been as high as 4th place but are now sitting in 8th. There are 14 teams so we are mid pack. Each week you bowl 3 games against another team and get a point for each win and a point for total pins so you can get a total of 4 points.
