    Wordle in 4.

Smaller crowds both days of the Games, but still a great weekend. Loaded out until 9 and will start back up again at 8. This will be a long day.

I’m not sure who does your website – but I was looking at it this weekend.

I think you should have the hours on that front page.
& the cost of the tickets easier to find – the online ticket purchase button is there, but you can’t buy online last minute. (We thought about coming out on Sunday, but it didn’t work out.)

Spot on advice, Barb. Steve, a book that has had a seminal effect on my career is “Don’t Make Me Think”. https://www.amazon.com/Dont-Make-Think-Revisited-Usability/dp/0321965515

It’s ostensibly about web design, but when I first read it 25 years ago I also adopted it as a philosphy. As Barb noted, if you have to think about where to buy a ticket, or can’t buy a ticket online at the last minute, that makes the person visiting your site have to think, and then everything stops. If the hours and buy now button were up front and clearly designed, you’d get more people to attend. I have long contended that if software programmers were strapped in a chair and forced to use their own work for a day, software would be so much easier to use, because in my experience it doesn’t take that much more effort to improve the usability of a tool or website but it sure makes a massive difference on the user’s experience.

I had to read (parts of) Don’t Make Me Think for a class in grad school, and it’s absolutely true. We may shake our heads at how dumb and lazy people can be, but it doesn’t change the fact that if you want information to reach people, you have to make it as easy as possible.

    busy weekend –

Friday night was dinner at Houston’s with JoAnna – that place was already packed at 5:30pm. Service & food were excellent – its not a cheap place, but it was fun.

Saturday morning we went & did a road bike ride around Roswell with Benny’s 2 sons & a few others as a little memorial ride. I really appreciate my E bike on the hills of Roswell. Allan is ready to get one, Trek just needs to get one available or employee purchase.
Mary got here late afternoon, she is not wanting to get back to FL to deal with all the storm debris, etc. We had a nice dinner & s’mores on the deck.
Sunday we did a long walk around the ‘hood, margaritas & cheese dip in the afternoon, then a stop at the American Legion for some very cold beers.
By the time we got home we were beat – so just chilled watching football the rest of the night.
She took off at 6am this morning (as did Allan for work) so I’m home all alone now.

Pretty quiet weekend. Friday we went to the General Muir for a very chill dinner. Saturday we did recycling, then had lunch at the Albert, then got mani-pedis. In the evening we went for a very early dinner at Saints + Council in Colony Square, it was really good. Then to the ASO to hear the symphony play Haydn and Mendelsson. Yesterday I watched football and read my book all day and never got dressed. The Patriots were in London so that game started at 9:30 am so it was football aaaaaaallllll day.
