There is one thing I miss since canceling Netflix, watching “The Great British Bake Off”. Yesterday I saw that the first two episodes of the newest season had been (illegally) uploaded to YouTube. I made it through one and one half of these before a copyright claim had been made, and the uploads removed. Dangen!

I have two major projects today:
– Contact cemetery and schedule mom’s move in date
– Gather everything I intend to put into the M6 for this journey

Countdown to Shutdown: T – 1

I would have had another Wordle ACE today had I not done the NYT Mini Crossword last night and decided to change my starting word for today. Ugh!

Wordle: three, my starter was ENTRY
Connections: two mistakes, Purple > X > Blue > X > Green > Yellow

Wordle in 3 starting with POINT. Connections: X, X, P, B, Y, G. Hard to use a hint to get started on Strands. Happy Monday.

I still have Netflix. You could finish what you started here next week

Wordle in 4 with an off the wall starter..

A pretty good weekend. Got the new blades on the finish mower and mowed- new blades make for pretty grass! Moved the last of the removed tree to the burn pile so we can prepare for a visitor horse next week. I think it’s just a weening the foal move, but I’m just the hired help.

Got a nice scooter ride in yesterday. Such perfect temps. Met Meg and Ella at our favorite sushi joint to catch up with them.

Unfortunately, we don’t get SEC network or else I would have seen Vandy beat Alabama- maybe that was for the best.

    Hi Ronnie!!

    • Wacky college football weekend, so many Top Ten losses. Unfortunately UGA was not among them. 😀 My Gators will get their asses whipped in Knoxville on Saturday.

Thank you for alerting me that there is a new season of the Great British Baking Show! YAY!

Very quiet weekend. Went to Rathbun’s for dinner Friday with our friends. Saturday we went to the General Muir for brunch and otherwise watched football on the couch. Sunday I watched the Patriots lose to the Dolphins in mediocre fashion. Ugh. They are now 1-4 and the season is over.

busy morning work wise – co-worker Lindsay is back tomorrow, so I can get back to my not so busy work life.

BUSY day Saturday at Eggtoberfest out at Coolray fiend in Gwinnett. UP at 0530 to get out there around 0700am to get set up, got to get the Egg & everything all set up & some food ready by 10am.
We had 8 in our group (4 Eggs) and by chance our buddy Mike (aka Holy Dick) & his group were very near us – so fun to get caught up with him.

Sunday I went for a walk with JoAnna & dogs, then a pedicure in the afternoon.
Watched some football & dinner at Annette’s.

This week we need to get ready for Wheelhopper down near Indian Springs State Park – so glad the new hurricane Milton is trending to stay way south.

    • Yeah, your weekend would look vastly different if Milton took a turn north. My buddy Dave live in Sarasota and is willing the storm to veer south. I assume my extended family, and everyone’s friends who live in the Tampa area are doing the same.

      • Sally says:

I’m hoping Milton Veers even further south, away from the Tampa area. I already had to deal with a tree on mom’s house. Luckily there was still a chainsaw in the tool room. I am sure I was a sight. hahaha I don’t want to go back down there this soon.

  6. Job #1 is done!
Job #2 will occur throughout the day.

  7. Went outside and did thirty minutes of cleanup and leaf blowing. There goes this morning’s shower…

Hip was pain free until I started getting up to do chores. Dangen!

I had dinner Friday with some former co-workers including an old boss. I forgot how bat shit crazy my former boss was! He was like an ADHD kid that had 5 red bulls, it was pretty nuts. Dude has a heart of gold though and I really like him for that. I drove home with no radio on just enjoying the silence.
Saturday I cut up the tree that landed on the in-laws front yard which solidified my spot as #1 son in law 🙂 then went to the ATL UTD game. Good times were had and ATL got the W but the season is now over, maybe they will make playoffs next year.
Sunday took the moto out for a shake down, rode 200 miles around the north GA mountains and gravel roads. I’m really going to like this new bike.
Looking forward to camping this weekend and hope my crazy family stays out of harm from the hurricane which looks like they will get a direct hit.
Safe travels to you Paulie, hope you are able to have a little fun along your journey.

    Connections was crazy –
    X – Green – X – Purple – Blue – yellow

Wordle – excellent guess to get it in 3.
