Turns out my purchase of an E-ZPass may have been an unnecessary one, at least according to 11Alive who reported in January of this year that the Georgia Peach Pass is now valid in northeastern states. Oh well, it won’t be the last time that I make a financial mistake.

I have finished reading “We Solve Murders” in three days, which for me is lightning fast. I thought it was a good book, but paled in comparison to Osman’s work in the “Thursday Murder Club” series. I have started reading “Translation State” which is borrowed through the Dekalb Library System. On my journey next month I will be packing two physical books. I want to read these and then donate them to a Little Library in order to reduce the number of items, books in this case, in the ITP Estate.

With the rains predicted to arrive today I did some WLF preparation for water capture yesterday, mostly bucket cleansing and dumping the water in my large rain barrel which had turned green. WLF will appreciate this rain, though it may wish that it wouldn’t come in such large quantities in a short period of time, even the source is the tail of yet another hurricane/ tropical storm.

Wordle: four, my starter was FLOUR
Connections: perfect, Yellow > Purple > Blue > Green

Looking forward to some rain. I plan to test my creek this morning ahead of the rains.
It was still so hot yesterday. Ran at Riverside Park in the morning with a friend and then at Kennesaw with the GUTS crew. Scofflaw Stride tonight but not sure if they will cancel or not due to the impending rains.

Wordle in 3 starting with STALE. Connections: G, X, P, B, Y. Strands was very easy!

    • Same. There was at least a breeze last night. My ride went okay, but I missed the light at Ponce/Clifton and was dropped on a no-drop ride.

Nicely done. Unfortunately my guess was a word which was the solution just two months ago. Apparently keeping a list doesn’t help my retention…

Just noticed that there is equal sun and equal dark today. Sunrise was 7:30 a.m. and sunset is 7:3o p.m. Not on the Equinox as they always say. Why? Cuz the earth wobbles on its axis. I think that’s the answer anyway.

  3. Going to learn how to make hot sauce today via YouTube and internet. Hopefully will turn some peppers into hot sauce tomorrow.

  4. Barb says:

its very dark out this morning – having a hard time waking up.

watching the morning news – the rain today has nothing to do with Helene – they are really hyping this storm.

looking forward to seeing everyone Thursday at Tasty China – hope the rain doesn’t mess it up. I think we have 8 ? Steve, Debbie (birthday girl) Sal, Paul, Bob, Laura, Allan & me?

    • I was awake at 3am, and after being up for over an hour return to sleep until 6:30am.

Today’s rain may not be, but the constant rain of tomorrow and Friday should be as the storm is predicted to pass very near us.

Rain can’t stop me from dinner tomorrow, I’ll be there.

    Wordle in 3!

I was treated to a very pretty sunrise this morning- this due to the fact that my normal 55 minute commute took 2:45!! We sat for long periods with no motion, so I knew it was serious. Pieces and parts everywhere when I got near the site. And I missed Waze likely told me to get off at exit 51. Oh well.

The 25 year club had a happy hour last night- bank sponsored. Beer, wine and lots of food. Unfortunately, I was also on a call for a firewall replacement that wasn’t happening. Oh well.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at TC. Jenka, you could complete the set!

  6. Jenka says:

Another CBO interview this afternoon. Also today is Kevin’s birthday so we are going to La Tavola for dinner. We haven’t had Finn for a couple of weeks but we get him today for the weekend. Looking forward to the rain!

  7. Bob says:

Your purchase of the EZ Pass eases your anxiety so was a valid choice. It would suck to be going through the fast lane thinking you are good then start receiving tickets.

What time are we meeting at TC tomorrow?

  8. Back from a walk during which I picked up a compost bag’s worth of litter. People are the worst, but at least I got a minimal amount of exercise.

  9. Barb says:

    Connections –
Yellow – Purple – Green – Blue (I don’t think I’d have ever figured out blue)
    Wordle in 4.

  10. Barb says:

Steve – you are driving the furthest – let us know what time tomorrow.
We are fine with whatever – since it is only 3 miles down the road.
