Happy Friday the 13th!

The bounty of (wild) food I saw on my European trip was mind boggling. In Belgium and Netherlands I saw many apple and pear trees, along with numerous fields of corn. In Rheine Germany I found horse chestnut and hazelnut trees. In all three countries I found wild hops growing alongside waterways!

Who are Jack & Jones and why is their clothing so popular? It seemed as if men of all ages and sizes were wearing Jack & Jones T-shirts all over Europe.

The M6 has a new battery and seems fine. Of course in this process the Bluetooth connection between my phone and the car got messed up. I can still play audio from my phone, but no information appears on the display. I’ll be getting a new iPhone next week, I’ll deal with this issue then since I will definitely want to have this set up for my road trip to New York in October.

Decided to see if post office delivers mail today. If not, I will go to them on Monday and ask WTF is happening. I didn’t ask anyone to check my mail since I was going away for such a long time.

This weekend’s weather forecast is all over the place. I can’t tell if it’s going to rain all weekend where I will be headed, or if it’s just going to be cloudy and cool. I suppose this morning I will pack clothing for each possibility.

Wordle: five, my starter was GRAIN
Connections: one mistake, X > Purple > Green > Yellow > Blue

  1. As you can tell I have had trouble solving Wordle recently, fives and sixes have been prevalent.

I am also having trouble getting healthy. I have two weeks in Atlanta before heading to New York, I may try to get a doctor to check me out in that period. I sorted my laundry in anticipation of doing it today prior to setting off. However, I am tired and sore, so I think that I will rest at the ITP Estate instead, putting of a trip to the Waschsalon until Monday.

I am glad you got a new battery and decided to go on your trip. Never can trust the weather forecast so you might be okay. Ran this morning in the nice cool air. A little drizzle but not much.

Nothing really planned for the week-end as I am working on Saturday. Will have a dog starting tonight through next week.

Thoughts are with Barb this morning.

Wordle in 4 starting with POKER. Connections: P, G, B, Y with a couple of mistakes.

    • Agree, I wish you the best of luck Barb. Hope your father is figuring it all out.

      • Barb says:

Dad can’t remember – so he asks “where’s Judy” more often than we’d like. Trying to explain it – and the surprised look on his face over & over is not all that fun.

Tom has a meeting with the funeral home this morning – I’m trying to figure out the obituary so it can get sent over to the newspaper once we get the dates finaized.

  3. The other day I was delighted to find out that Bob Mortimer, British comedian, has released another book, this one entitled “The Hotel Avocado”. It was an instant Audible purchase for me.

  4. Steve says:

Wordle in 4. A couple of FB friends had deuces, so I was expecting an easy one. It wasn’t.

The search for the Living Quarters trailer appears over. One for sale on the far side of Tuscaloosa is the choice and I’ll get a check made up later. We were thinking of one in KY, but it was a bit more money and no generator, as well as less storage. We decided the perfect trailer doesn’t exist at our price point, so going with this one as a first attempt.

Cardiologist later today. Maybe he has a bright idea… maybe not.

Still thinking of you and the family, Barb.

    • Look at you, buying a trailer.

Good luck at the cardiologist. I need to make time for a visit to one myself.

    • Barb says:

our friend Tammy bought a nice horse trailer with living quarters – the only thing we found “wrong” with it is the bed was very tiny (for 2 people).
Can’t wait to see what you get!

    • Jenka says:

I had the opportunity to look inside a living quarters horse trailer once, the living quarters looked pretty comfy! Didn’t see the size of the bed.

  5. Jenka says:

Well, you can’t be surprised that you’re not getting mail, it is a national scandal how fucked up the USPS has been the past few months. It’s all over the news!

We went to the Family Dog for dinner last night. It was good, but as soon as we ordered drinks we saw that a band was setting up. So we hurried through our meal to get out of there. They have a really righteous BLT!

Barb, all the good thoughts headed your way.

  6. Bob says:

I want to be a weatherman, you can be wrong most of the time and still be employed. Cancelled wheelhopper campout and now it doesn’t look too bad up there. Oh well, I still have a 3 day weekend and will do a pub crawl on Sunday in Alpharetta. Good times!

With my day off I get to go drop my camper off again for service. My refrigerator stopped cooling. Hopefully will be a quick fix or a sensor gone bad, we will see. Although with my luck lately and with all the money we are hemorrhaging I’m sure I will need a new unit.

    • Barb says:

I’ve found our camper fridge is getting things too cold – we need to look into it. Tried adjusting the temps, but doesn’t seem to make a difference. This just made me think to ask Allan if he looked into it anymore.

  7. Couldn’t find the park I was going visit to get in a walk, but I was able to find a brewery in Hendersonville! I’m having one beer at Guidon Brewery before checking into my hotel room.
