Well, I’m packed for Europe. After looking at more weather forecasts I decided to put back a few shortsleeved shirts and replaced them with a hoodie and pair of jeans; after putting on so much weight I hope that I still fit in my jeans. Packing was my major accomplishment yesterday, along with cleaning my stovetop after my cowboy candy debacle.

Today I will be doing my final house chores in preparation for my departure tomorrow.

Wordle: three, my starter was REACH
Connections: perfect, Blue > Purple > Green > Yellow

Tough day for games. Wordle in 6. Connections: X, Y, X, G, P, B. I had to use a hint in Strands to get me started.

I will start gathering things today so I can add, delete, add, think again, over think, etc for the trip. I have been looking at the BRAG photos from this week to see what people were wearing. Shorts, tees, tanks, long sleeves, kind of all across the board.

I have a long list of chores to do today. I best get started. First up, test my creek.

    • I’m packing for lows in the 50°s, highs as high as 80°F.

yep – I’ve started staging clothes on the guest bed – then I will start going thru & taking things out.

I did get the passports copied to be stashed in the luggage somewhere (& a copied left here) – just in case.
Starting to get emails from the hotels saying I can go ahead & pay now – I thought it was pay when I arrive – but……. ???

Still never got an email back from the Beer & Chocolate tour for Tuesday 8/27 in Brussels – was hoping that hasher telling me to email would get us a return email & discount.

I’m packing arm warmers – might be easier to layer some days

        • I packed a cycling jacket, which has removable sleeves, in case it rains when we ride, or in the rare instances that I will be chilly riding. Normally I heat up quickly once I start pedaling, but this will be a slower pace than what I normally ride during STU or BRAG.

      • I’ve paid for my (solo) hotel rooms with the exception of some taxes and or fees which I am told are collected at the hotel front desk.

Woot, packing starts the anticipation! 🙂

With all house guests and kids out of the house last night, Kevin and I went to Ocean Wave for dinner and then went home and started Peaky Blinders. Has anyone else watched that show? We like it so far.

  3. Trying to decide if I will schedule a Lyft to take me to a Marta station, or all the way to the airport. For my departure it will most likely be the latter. For my arrival I may take the train to a nearby station and get a ride home from it. No matter what I decide it will be cheaper than parking my car at long term parking due to the length of my trip.

Wordle in 3, Connections was easy for me today – got the 1st two really quick, and then the 3rd came into view. Hasn’t happened that easy in a long time

Safe travels! Looking forward to stories of the trip

I’m getting the camper polished today. Apparently you are supposed to wax it if it lives out in the sun. I got way behind on that and now the clear coat is all oxidized. It is a very expensive lesson learned to stay on top of the clear coat going forward. It should look like new afterwards, looking forward to that.
