Rory’s parental units come home this evening. I’ll head home this afternoon to get packed up for RagBrai. Feeling a little stressed at the moment even though I know I’ll have plenty of time. On a good note, my tire is still holding air. I’ll see Barb, Bob and Wee later tonight.

this crazy Microsoft outage is affecting our internal system – so – we are having a really tough time working this morning
That sucks, Barb.
I just read about it and it is really bad. Basically Microsoft and a security vendor both did an update at the same time that conflicted with each other. Servers crashing all over the globe, Delta American and United airlines are all on a ground stop. Crazy stuff! They know what happened though and a fix is under way, it will still take time to deploy this to all systems.
Thankfully we are not affected since we don’t use that vendor.
Hope that doesn’t affect Rory’s parents getting here.

In from two hours of outdoor choring. I leveled the front “lawn”, in the expectation that it will rain and grow while I am away. I also did some WLF choring. My tomato timing is unfortunate because the ones I’ve have been waiting to ripen are finally starting to turn. By the time I return they will probably be overripe or eaten by critters. Oh well, this was to be expected this year.
feel free to bring whatever veggies to the park n ride tonight – I will take them & give away any I can’t use.

My nextdoor neighbor with a huge garden decided she’s over it this year – she gave me some tomatoes & a bunch of green beans. Now to just be home to cook some dinner.
She’s quitting, or she’s tired of dealing with it this year?
Either way you will receive some interesting tomatoes from me, and three jalapeños.
She just doesn’t want to deal with it – she’s been canning green beans & peppers, etc – and just doesn’t want to deal with doing it anymore this year. She was making me laugh yesterday.

Man I can’t wait to get on the road, I love me an adventure. I have no idea what to expect and that is the best. We’ll just wing it all week and have a great time. The crew we have going is really low maintenance so we can just go with the flow and have no problems.
Now I just have to finish packing 🙂

Finally some rain last night and a bit more today. Kinda scuttled my plan to ride this morning, but I also have to get out of bed.
NYT has a couple of nice write ups on Bob Newhart this morning. I never knew the “All a Dream” finale was kept a secret from the entire cast.
Depending on what airline they are flying, they may be OK. I think Delta is recovering.

It’s fifteen hours without stopping… We will have to stop a few times to fill up with gas and food.

Yes it’s a school bus but it gets horrible gas mileage so we need to stop every 3 hours to fill up.
