Often one cannot look back on the best time in one’s life with any pleasure if it ends badly.
I have heard of, and have started watching a (relatively old) British tv series called Inside No. 9. I’ve only watched three of the fifty-five episodes which aired from 2014-2024, and have been impressed and surprised how different the show was. I’m watching it on BritBox, the one streaming service from which I feel I am getting my money’s worth.
I’m still trying to rewatch the first two seasons of The Bear to lead into season three. Unfortunately Hulu has let me down, stalling hard toward the end of the third episode of season one, and then showing me episode four in a such terrible resolution it made it frustrating to watch the show.

The tractor handles oddly without the weight of the front end loader on it. I warned Debbie if she needs to use it to be careful. I mowed in preparation of being gone most of next week. If we don’t get any rain, the grass won’t grow, but I’m hoping.
WFH today and will be in the office tomorrow to meet the Comcast techs, hopefully.
My TdF coverage keeps dropping out, apparently a problem with Peacock!! WTF, O?

Kevin is working the entire Tour – and I don’t know if Kaleb is home, so it might be just Katrina & Clara at home this July.

Received a text message which I am fairly certain is a phishing scam. In the message it mentions an undeliverable USPS package. Why I am not 100% certain that it is a phishing scam is because today I am supposed to receive an Amazon purchase via USPS. Clearly I am not going to click on their link and attempt any sort of login.

We watched three episodes of season 3 of the Bear last night. The first episode is great.
I am back in the office and have a million things to do!
I don’t know when I will make it to season three. Hell, perhaps I’ll leap forward and leave the complete watch through for another time.
When season 2 came out we re-watched season 1 first, but I didn’t feel the need this time. We did re-watch the season 2 finale before starting season 3.
we watched In Bruges last night – after I spent the afternoon looking for hotel rooms in Brussels & Bruges.
What a great DARK comedy.
Its not streaming anywhere (for free) so we had to get out the laptop & the hard drive & hook it up to the TV.
Allan has been with AFR for 20 years as of yesterday.
I will look at hotels tomorrow.

I’m no Iowan, but I just picked an ear of corn and ate it straight off the stalk! I’m not sure when corn is at its peak, but it was delicious.
I also picked some small okra pods, and a huge jalapeño pepper.

went & got my night guard from the dentist office – the dude sitting by the gate is already there. Sign says Braves permit parking starting 5:30pm. That’s a long day to sit out there in this heat.
Tree guys are working out there again – they are really worried about the branches near the power lines I guess. The chainsaw/chipper noise is annoying, but oh well.
That is a long day, even if today won’t be as bad as it has been.
Unexpectedly the okra pods, though small, were very woody; so I composted them. Lunch was fake (Beyond) bratwurst, cooked with a hot banana pepper, and then mixed into a Caesar pasta salad. It was a really delicious concoction, but now I know that I am going to have to ride tonight.
