It was a busy, stressful, and frustrating day yesterday. The morning started out incredibly productive with trips to — Publix, Kroger, Dollar Tree, Goodwill, and Whole Foods — all in the greater Decatur area. One of these is a red herring, Kroger, since I did no grocery shopping there, instead using its DMV kiosk to print a tag renewal for the M6.

My frustrations began with the arrival of a new credit card, one to replace one that expires next month. With a new card in hand I had to try to update websites on which I used this card. Two websites frustrated me so much that I had to resort to calling technical support. While on hold someone knocked on my door, I don’t know who, since by the time I opened the door the person(s) was/were gone.

I found out a little later that it was my neighbor who knocked on my door. How did I find this out? Well, because a limb of his dead tree snapped and grazed my roof. Fortunately for me, his roof took the brunt of it, and it didn’t appear as if the branch penetrated his roof. He is getting quotes to have the tree taken down, at least to a height that will do no damage to either of our houses.

A person with no job and at least enough money to pay bills should not be so stressed out! I need a beer.

Today I am offering to buy Betsy and Hank lunch because they have agreed to be my witnesses for the house documents that I need to have witnessed and notarized before I can return them.

I intend to spend the hottest periods of the weekend indoors, cleaning, reorganizing, and declutter if the house.

  1. In watching an episode of Poirot yesterday I was stumped to remember where I had seen one of the actresses in the episode. Turns out, she was the woman who played the wife in Detectorists.

Also, I think I will do a rewatch of Detectorists again in the near future.

I have started watching it again in the Skyclub whenever I travel. It’s so innocuous and comforting.

I did nothing yesterday besides work & get a haircut.
I had zero energy – not sure why.
I did watch the entire 3rd season of Bridgerton – not sure if that should be an accomplishment.

well – Allan went out & found water on the laundry room floor.
I did laundry Monday – there was nothing there then.
    Good times………

    Wordle in 4.

I’ve caught the cooties from somewhere. The only people I saw yesterday were Debbie and the guys at the hydraulic shop. By evening, my head was pounding and I was coughing. Ugh.

I did fix the tractor so it will lift attachments. RTFD for the win, but they didn’t make it easy.

Three way campers for the win!
My camper A/C stopped working so dropped it off 2 days ago to be looked at. They said there was about a 3 week backlog. I got a call yesterday that they already brought it in to look at and it was just a loose wire. Only charged me 1 hour worth of labor and turned it around in 2 days. I will definitely go back if I need any service.
I may onewheel up to bandit listen to Willie Nelson, Robert Plant, Bob Dylan, Alison Krauss put on a show at AmerisBank tonight.
Sunday is Wheelhopper, it’s going to be hot!

    • Barb says:

      that’s awesome turn around Bob.
and – just a loose wire – that’s even better!!!!

sounds like an awesome show to listen to outside – I’m guessing Willie will sit in on a couple songs – I’d say Robert Plant & Allison Krause will be the majority of it (they are great together)
Bob Dylan – not one of my favs – can’t ever understand him

      • Bob says:

100% agree, never been a fan of Dylan either.

Now that my A/C is working going to have the camper detailed to remove the oxidation in the clear coat then it will be just like new!

  7. Barb says:

its Willie Nelson & Family – his kids are great.

  8. Received the RAGBRAI invoice from Franklin today. I’ll pay it soon.

Hi from Cincy! It’s SO FUCKING HOT here. It’s 96 degrees and we have opted not to go out until the game tonight. Last night we made the tour of the 6th street establishments and it was all good. We asked about German food and no one knew of any actual
German restaurants, apparently it’s part of the culture but not out in the open. It’s a very sleepy city, very little traffic or people walking around. Cute, though.
