I spent the better part of yesterday puttering around WLF, and it was fantastic!

After coming inside for a shower and lunch I started the process of putting away stuff that I had scattered about; much more of this activity will occur today.

This morning I am at the Waschsalon, and this afternoon I will give the M6 a bath. The M6 is still dirty from sitting under a live oak in Savannah for a week. I intended to take it to a car wash in Florida, but that never happened.

Back on the bike tonight.

Wordle: three, my starter was GRAIN
Connections: two mistakes, Yellow > Green > X > X > Purple > Blue

Wordle in 3- 4 letters in my first guess, all in the wrong place, same for the second guess!

I don’t know what was going on downtown yesterday afternoon as I left work, but it was nuts. It took me a half hour to get south of 20 via surface streets and onto 75/85. I trusted Waze, but he let me down.

An easy ride of 14 miles late yesterday. A bit of time trialing on newer pavement on a busier road felt pretty good.

Workday #4 of 6 this week. Ugh.

Pretty good night last night, I rolled 2 168s and a 240. I think is my highest game ever. Must have been something in the air as a guy 2 lanes down almost rolled a perfect game. All strikes going in to the 10th frame, rolled 2 more than last ball was off the mark and got a 7 for a 293. Pretty cool to watch.

Talked to Franklin from BRAG yesterday, he is going to email us all an invoice for RAGBRAI payment. It may be a couple weeks though as his wife is going to be induced today so he will be in new baby fog for a while.

nothing all that exciting here –
But – mom walked with the walker from her recliner to the bathroom, & then back to the recliner. That’s further than she’s gone (when I was there)
We will see if today she’s still got that kind of energy.
    Keeping fingers crossed.
We think we hear something today as to when the insurance part is ending.

Busy getting all my shit done at work before vacation. Leaving work early today to drive down to fucking Perry, GA for the night. Pickup for Finn’s camp is at 9:00 am tomorrow, there’s no way we were getting up and driving at 6:00 am. I know that’s late for you, Paulie!

    • Steve says:

The big city. I know the Waffle House is good.

      • Jenka says:

Our hotel is right next to a Longhorn, so that it our plan for dinner. 🙂

        • Barb says:

It’s been forever since I’ve been to Longhorns.
But – will there be a stop at Bucees??

          • Bob says:

Date night at Bucees! Dinner and shopping? What could be better?

          • Jenka says:

I hadn’t been in a while (to Longhorn) but when I went up to MA for my mom’s funeral and again to clean out the house I went a couple of times. It’s reliable and, most importantly, it has booze.

Yeah, there will not be a Buc-ee’s visit; I’m glad that everyone enjoys it but it’s not a novelty for me.

          • Barb says:

Figured Buccee’s would be awesome (or horrible) with Finn.
Does longhorns still have that dark brown bread?

          • Steve says:

Hell, Buc-ees is a little sensory overload for me, too! And real people-y too!!

    • Another vacation? Do you ever stay at home? 😛 Is this part of a birthday weekend, or will that be another journey?

6:00am? Sooooo late! The sun might be starting to rise! Hahah

I can attest that the Waffle House is always a solid option.

      • Jenka says:

Hahahah! It’s not meant to be a birthday trip, it just happens to be the only week in June when we don’t have Finn. It’s my first real vacation since Christmas! We’re going to Toronto to see the Red Sox play the Blue Jays, then to Cincinnati to watch the Red Sox play the Reds. Knocking two stadiums off our list!

  5. The M6 is now clean. Expected an unpredicted rainstorm to come soon.
