PT after work. I think the lady is a sadist. she did something called “cupping” where a cup with vacuum is placed on your back and moved around- felt like a continuous pinch. She moved it around for several minutes to “improve the circulation”. Not buying it.
We “had” to go to the county planning meeting for our zoning variance last night. It wasn’t as completely boring as I suspected. And I learned Verizon is planning another cell tower- just looked up the location and it’s no where near us..
Oh, a contractor has been pulling Comcast cable in the area and I chatted with him the other day. He was running it down the road that our road meets up, but not running it down ours. He said there’ll be a junction there, but no run “yet”. Bastards.
Cupping – my massage therapist uses it a lot –
Lots of athletes do too – if you see red circular marks – you know they have a therapist that uses it.
I think it helps – it also saved the therapists strength – does a lot of the work for them
Not sure why I owe the gas company nearly $50 this month. Oh yeah, it’s mostly administrative and marketing fees, and taxes! If I weren’t still paying off a gas heater…
Didn’t do much yesterday here.
Dad & I hung out. I worked.
I made a pasta recipe for dinner I found in a free magazine that I was reading at the hospital – the original recipe had cauliflower in it – I ignored that ingredient. (yuck)
it was very basic- but mixed heavy whipping cream with marinara. My dad inhaled it – so I guess he liked it.
There’s a chance mom could get discharged today, but we have to arrange for the skilled nursing facility – I don’t know how quick they get that done. This part is covered by insurance. The long care part eventually isn’t – it is looking like $12,000 a month.
It will probably be the same $$ for Dad – we need to figure out if there’s a place for both of them – we will see.
My older brother annoyed me yesterday – I told him I had to leave on 5/30 & it would be great if he could come for that long weekend at least. He said – well – I have my law school reunion that weekend in Milwaukee – let me think about it. I had to get passive aggressive with him after that comment. ARGHHHHHH
Can hear the now constant noise of chainsaws and wood chippers. “A City in a Forest” no more.
That being said, this winter I intend to take down some limbs which cast too much shade on WLF, and there is a tall, dead tree in my neighbor’s yard which can fall on either of our houses, if not both.
Just finished dismantling my old bathroom vanity and sink. The sink will become a flower planter in WLF, the vanity will go to the dump. I also pulled off all of the vanity hardware, which I will either take to Goodwill, or CHaRM as scrap metal.
Busy morning.
Now I’m at Miracle Ear trying to get my Dads hearing aid to work.
1pm appt, hopefully I don’t have to wait too long.
They are examining them now. I didn’t bring Dad along, it’s been a crazy rainy day here.
Mom in getting moved to the rehab place, had to pack up some clothes for her.
Waiting to hear back if they are getting her moved in.
Wordle in 4.

Before that I did some WLF choring. Mostly I turned one compost bin into another so that I can start filling it with new materials to compost.
Busy morning.
