As I mentioned yesterday I took a scenic (read “slow”) route upon entering Florida. My decision to opt for US19 paid off in spades when I saw what? A Vixen on the road!!! For you younger, non hashing types, a Vixen was an automobile, like a squatty RV, one of which was owned for a period of time by MC Hasher and Whiner.
Other than meeting with the lawyers today, I was hoping to get out for a bike ride. Unfortunately that exercise plan has been scrapped because of a seriously debilitating pain in my lower back / hip / buttock (sciatic?) I started suffering yesterday. My pain kept me from getting out for a walk last night. I seem to be a big bag of pain at the moment.
Wordle: five, my starter was DELAY
Connections: perfect, Green > Yellow > Blue > Purple
Wordle in 4!
The man cave lights have been on the fritz for a few day- one is fine but the other won’t start. I finally got up to it (not an easy task) and found the bulb was shot. Amazon to the rescue and the replacement should be here today.
The power outage of Sunday caused the hot tub to reset. I only found that out after stepping into it and feeling only lukewarm water! Damnit. I got that reset but it would have to be tonight to enjoy that.
A half hour on the trainer helped me feel better about my ride Saturday.

Since my pain has nixed my bike ride I am hoping that it subsides by this afternoon so I can do some yard work.
There is a certain irony as I think I rid this house of the things which could help me currently, a heating pad and epsom salts.
Wordle in about 1.5, I identified 4 out of 5 letters in my first guess (none in the right positions). I closed that sucker out in 2. Clean Connections.
Well done on the deuce. Sorry, no half credit in Wordle. 😛
What even is 1/2 credit?
It’s my own made up rule for identifying 4 out of 5 letters on my first guess. It got me halfway to the real word. 🙂 It’s my Wordle and I’ll score it the way I want to. 😉
hahaha
Rules, smules! I’m with you, David!
Why not play on a second device after solving and give yourself an ace everyday? 🙂
That would be entire too much effort. 🙂
David – that made me think the same thing –
worked way too hard yesterday but feel sort of caught up.
Sal came over & we watched 3 episodes of Survivor (without Paulie).
Now he needs to get on CBS.com to watch while hanging out in FL.
So far I haven’t picked anyone I think I’d want to win. But of course, there are a few that annoy me.
There does seem to be some annoying folks!! I don’t have any clear person yet but there are a few I like!
Piriformis.
“The piriformis is a flat, narrow muscle. It runs from your lower spine through your butt to the top of your thighs. Your piriformis muscle extends to each side of your body and aids in almost every movement of your lower body. The sciatic nerve most commonly runs underneath the piriformis.”
(Ask me how I know…)
Stretch it. Daily.

That sounds all too spot on. Thanks.
Sit on a tennis ball or lacrosse ball. The piriformis originates in the sacrum. Hard one to get to as it is deep in the buttock muscles. I am guessing long drives in the car aggravate it. Maybe a back rest for your car seat will help.
Will try, thanks!
Wordle in 3 starting with DAILY. One mistake in Connections: yellow, purple, blue, green. Strands was a piece of cake.
Fun night catching up on Survivor. Allan made a delicious stir fry dish. GirlScout cookies for dessert. Lucky me. I walked there and back. It was a little windy but really a nice night to be out and about. GUTS Tuesday night run.
Not much on my radar today. May shop REI to see what I may want to use my 20% coupon on. I am wanting a new backpacking sleeping pad. So we’ll see.
Oh yeah, well this morning I followed an IROC-Z for about a mile on the way to work! They are a lot smaller than I realized, not having seen one in upwards of 40 years. Crazy!
Jenka – I had to think about that car for a moment – was it in good shape?
It was remarkably well-preserved, however it looked, well, brittle. We were going over speedbumps and I was hoping it wouldn’t splinter into pieces!
Hell yeah! My dad had one of those when I was growing up. Fastest I have ever driven was in that car when I raced a Supra. Whatever the top speed of that car was is how fast I was going.
Well, I can guarantee that this one does not go that fast anymore. You know when there’s a house for sale and they describe it as “meticulously well maintained”? What that really means is “no upgrades.” Well, this car was well maintained but everything was, um, original.
wordle in 4 – I should have had better guesses when Body Glide posted he got it in 1.
Connections – I’ve decided if I don’t see it quickly – I have no patience for it – so I just random guess so I can see the answers
Haha, I was suspicious about Body Glide until I remembered what the word was today.
I’m old, I already forgot what the word was.
I looked it up. I forget the word within a half hour of playing.
What word? But ask me about a brand jingle from the ’70’s and I’ll sing it to you! One day, we’ll understand the brain, but not in our children’s lifetime.
As I enter the afterlife all I’d like to know is what triggers memories out of the blue.
Oh, thank goodness, I thought I was the only one who forgot it immediately.
If it really pissed me off, I’ll remember it.
I decided after working too much yesterday – I’m taking a lunch break today.
Marietta Food Hall – so many choices – so I’ll be looking at Seated & Upside to see if there are any discounts to help me decide what to eat.
Listening to an 80s music channel today -Video Killed the Radio Star is playing – that song always makes me remember MTV
The first video!
Barb, unfortunately where I am eating lunch no longer does Upside.
And I just ordered a beer that is out of stock. Typical for me…
no Upside today- only place at the market is Bulgogi place & I wasn’t in the mood.
This was interesting. Today I was told that BOGOs in Florida are true BOGOs, and you don’t pay 50% when you only purchase one, like in Georgia. Fortunately the cashier took pity on me and scanned them accordingly.
I had no idea until last year or maybe 2 years ago you have to buy 2 in Florida. I like our GA deal better.
Yeah, rarely do I need two of most items which are BOGO.
Watching an”I’ve Got a Secret” from 1965, and the first secret was that the family has twenty children. TWENTY CHILDREN!!!
