Not much to report from my end.
I did the CVS ride last night. A small group of us rode from Decatur through Piedmont Park and back with mostly no issues. The only strange part of the evening was a homeless man came and essentially set up camp (no tent) right next to us, we were set up neighboring a spot that had a tree and was covered in pine straw, in the parking lot as we sat around drinking. The man didn’t ask us for anything, he really just wanted to lie down, and even asked that if we’d be bothered if he smoked a cigarette near us.
Wordle: three, my starter was LAUGH
Connections: perfect, Green > Yellow > Blue > Purple
Strands: no errors, though admittedly I didn’t know all of the words
Strands was bogus. I used two hints and still didn’t agree on a couple of the words. Took me 6 tries to get Wordle starting with BOWLS. 2 mistakes in Connections: green, blue, yellow, purple. Not a good day for game playing.
I was fortunate to suss out the theme in Strands, and then stumble my way into the words that satisfied the theme.
I breezed through Strands, no frustration there other than my fat fingers occasionally nailing unrelated letters. Wordle in 5 starting with MEANT, which meant that I finally figured out today’s word the hard way, I had to burn two turns on letter elimination words to get there. I had one strike left on Connections.
My left knee is still dicey, but I’m going to forge ahead with hiking tomorrow unless the stomach bug my son has today takes me down first. Apparently the noro virus is running rampant at his school.
Norovirus? I had to look that up. I wonder if this is connected to the fun Jenka and friends went through last weekend.
Yes, what Finn and Kevin and our friends had was definitely norovirus. It only lasts for 36 hours but it’s brutal. Here’s a good article:

Maybe you were hanging out at his usual sleeping spot? That makes you the trespassers! 🙂
Kevin is back to completely fine. We went to Ocean Wave last night and he mowed a whole plate of sushi.
I’m sure he was unhappy to see us, but that didn’t stop him.
Sushi so soon after sickness? Wow, raw food would be the last thing I’d want to eat. Glad he’s feeling better.
Bold move for sure.
Like I say, it only lasts for 36-48 hours and then you’re basically back to normal.
Assuming you start from normal. 😉
Hehe, I cheated myself this morning, I solved Wordle in three, not in four.
In this episode of “I’ve Got a Secret” the woman’s secret was that she was the youngest grandmother in the country in 1953. From West Virginia, she was married at 14 and became a grandmother at 28. Wowzers.
This episode also has Burgess Meredith as the celebrity guest. It aired on February 19, 1953, which happened to be the birthday of panelist Bill Cullen as well.
5 mile hike in the rain done.
What a difference from yesterday weather wise.
It was quite warm yesterday -the Approach trail kicked my ass.
Dinner & breakfast was good, slept pretty well too.
We forgot to pack dry clothes to leave in the car. Oops.
Sounds like you had a good time regardless of your oversight.
Wordle in 3 starting with SLATE. I’ve gotten Wordle in 3 four times this week so I’m feeling pretty good about life. The other games can suck it.
We’re headed to Lawrenceburg, TN with a horse and two dogs. Steve is driving so you won’t hear from him for a while. I think we’ve run out of the rain now so hopefully the rest of the drive will be easy. We’re on 65 north out of Birmingham now. First Buc-ee’s stop of the day complete. Yummy pastries and breakfast taco made us happy!
Wow, that sounds like an interesting traveling arrangement. Safe travels!
Wordle in 4.
One less horse in the trailer. Replaced with 21 bales of hay in one big bale- that wasnt a trade but a purchase as we’re about out of hay.
Pretty country up this way. Debbie is ready to move, but its still a bit too far out for me.
Please have the rain gone by the time we get back. Thank you very much.

The rain is gone and the sun is out!
