Another busy day today, my third and last Friday of this trip. I’ll be returning sometime within the next week, probably to find raccoons and rats have taken up residence in the ITP Estate…
The question on everyone’s mind: Who will set Barb up for another Wordle deuce today?
Wordle: three, my starter was CHORE
Connections: perfect, Green > Yellow > Purple > Blue
I made it in 2 using TRICK. One miss on Connections.
I am headed to Columbia, the capital of South Carolina versus Colombia, the country. Back tomorrow afternoon. Yet another accounting professor conference.
Interesting, that you scored a deuce, not so much about a trip to Columbia. There you go Barb, David set you up!
David, that was an amazing transition! Have “fun” in SC.
And you spelled both of them correctly!
I do fancy myself as an author… 🙂
That doesn’t mean anything! You would be surprised how many of my faculty misspell things constantly.
Well, *I* have standards… 😉
Wordle in 4. My starting word was no help.
A busy day yesterday. At one point, I had 1 Teams call going and 3 other chat sessions, all of which were important. Bother..
A half inch of rain, so the gravel roads for tomorrows’ ride shouldn’t be too sloppy.
Getting on a call at 8 already scheduled for 12 hours, because sometimes that’s how we have to roll.

I have had those days Steve, thankfully they are few and far in between now but they used to be kind of regular. Stressful as hell if there is no end in sight.
a 12 hour meeting? yuckkkkkk
Noon and we’re almost done. At least my part!!
Wordle in 4 starting with BOOTH. No mistakes in Connections: Purple, Green, Yellow, Blue.
Wordle in 3 starting with TRACE, I may have been better off with my regular REACT.
Perfect connections Yellow-Green-Purple-Blue. I got some lucky guesses.
Sorry about the rain last night but it was NEW BIKE DAY!! I picked up a Trek Checkpoint that will handle both road and gravel duties. Can’t wait to get out and ride it!
Heading up to Hiawassee with The Deaner for a weekend of hanging with Brint and some motorcycle riding. Weather looks nice but a little chilly.
Still don’t understand gravel riding… oh well, my shortcoming I suppose.
Have fun in Hiawassee. Tell Brint that I say Hey, and wish him a speedy recovery.
I don’t understand it either, but I also don’t understand mountain biking or trail running, so I’m clearly in the minority.
The appeal of gravel riding is all the miles with about 1% of the cars. You are much less likely to get hit by a car on a dirt road.
It’s not a shortcoming, it’s just not for you. Not everything has to be. I love riding super technical mountain bike trails, I love the adrenaline. Not a lot of people like or understand it and that’s OK. We have a limited amount of time on this earth so do what finds you joy.
Well put, Bob.
Even with the trauma I’ve experienced on the road, I still feel more comfortable there than on gravel, dirt, or sand. Just call me a “Roadie”…
Roadie!
🙂
here are my choices so far – what to start with….????
Wordle in 3 starting with TRACE, I may have been better off with my regular REACT.
Wordle in 4 starting with BOOTH.
I made it in 2 using TRICK.
three, my starter was CHORE
Barb, you’ve become a Wordle hussy! 🙂
took me 4 – with David’s start word
BOO! HISS!!! 😀
All good things must come to an end. 😉 You had a serious run of 2s going.
Wordle in 2 starting with PLANT. Go Barb, go!
Geez, with all of this information I will be disappointed if you don’t score an ace, Barb. 😛
You know why I have nothing to report? Because I didn’t do anything last night, and it was glorious!
My ass is clenched this morning after paying off two large credit card bills. Stupid healthcare!
I’m in South Carolina, awaiting a much needed Starbucks fix. I’m an hour away from Columbia.
but no Buccees to stop at………
Sadly…
But a great bookstore that a friend recommended. It made for a nice landing spot when I got to town.
nothing exciting going on up here –
we are going to a Total Wine wine tasting tonight though – Mark & Annette scheduled it & then decided to go to St Croix for a long weekend.
South American wines is the subject matter.
The brewery to which I went last night, Cueni Brewing, has monthly beer and cheese pairing events. Pairing beer and cheese, that sounds familiar… 😀 I think I will be here again for their next one, I just may buy a ticket.
yellow – green – blue – purple –
Blue was a wild ass guess- I had no idea what the category might be, but thought for some reason they might be related.
Dead tree in front of Florida house has been felled. I kinda feel badly, like I am taking care of all of the chores that I should have done for my mother when she was alive?
yes – you should have done some of these chores. But -what do they say – Hindsight………
To be fair to myself, the tree felling was only made possible to the fence removal which happens last Christmas. A lot of the in house cleanup could have never happened with all of the stuff my mother crammed into this house.
Barb, Debbie, Steve: are Saddle Sores and Public Enema having a birthday party, or have I received a phishing Evite invitation via text messaging?
its real – I asked her if you were invited – and she said she needed your phone#
its also an unofficial anniversary party for us & the Bradys – (heeheeheeheehee)
Haha. Could you text me Katherine’s number? For I tried to log on to Evite, but my email/password didn’t work.
SO – REACTIVATE IT?
It used a Yahoo email I haven’t logged into in at least ten years. If I tried to reset my password I couldn’t get to the link sent to that email address.
Sorted, I contacted Katherine and have RSVPed that I will be there.
