This weather, amiright?
Dinner last night was pretty good, if I do say so myself. With the exception of a couple of slightly undercooked potatoes the vegetables from WLF added to the flavor of a silky brown sauce, and chunks of real pork.
Ted Lasso is tugging at my heart strings. Next week’s finale will be tough for me.
Sixty miles on Silver Comet today. Wish me luck.
I solved today’s Wordle in three attempts; my starter today was TRADE. I’ve had two occasions recently where the solution was a future word in my starter list, but I believe that today is the first day where it was a word I’ve used as a starter previously. My quest for an ace continues…
I hope you have a great ride today. I rode to Fellini’s in Candler Park. The ride there on an empty stomach was great. The ride back was challenging but I made it without issue. I actually planned ahead and charged the batteries in my lights. Up to this point I would just take my chances when riding in the dark. I know, I know. It’s been a journey.
There was a shootout on Boulevard at Glenwood after a Georgia State Patrol chase on I-20 came to an unceremonious end. They pulled a toddler out of the car they were pursuing that hit other cars and hit a light pole.
I get to enrich my dentist this morning by way of restorative work and a crown to replace a collapsed tooth.
Wordle in 3 thankfully starting with STALE, Mini in 38. It’s good to be back.
Good on ya!
Hope your dental work goes quickly and painlessly.
Dental work was mostly painless but it was a solid 2 hours in the chair with active work being done for most of that. Here’s hoping the temporary crown stays in place until June 7.
dental work – always a fun day.
Yes, today was particularly a slog but at least it’s behind me now.
Mini – just didn’t know a couple of the answers – had to cheat
Wordle in 3 as well.
My mouth is no longer numb. I am grateful for that!
Have fun on your ride. Beautiful morning for it. I have to work today, tomorrow, Saturday and Monday. Not sure I’ll get back on the bike before BRAG. I need to. Sadly Wordle in 6 starting with Scout and we won’t talk about the Mini. So much yard work to get done too. Dogsitting again thru Monday. Looking forward to Survivor night. I think we should have BP&J’s for dinner…I can bring some chips. :).
Thanks. This weather is perfect for riding. What are the odds that it will last two more week? Lol
Nope, heater turns on right before BRAG every year LOL!
We were supposed to interview a potential new sitter but she bailed on us an hour and a half before the appointed time. *Sigh* Then I made a truly sensational shepherd’s pie for dinner that Finn litrally ate half of, so that was nice.
We are finally into season 4 of Succession. It feels like all of the characters are getting more 2-dimensional, not less.
Nice, on the food not the sitter.
Betsy still contends it’s one of the best shows ever made. I’ve not started season two yet, somI have no comment.
shepherd’s pie – yum!!!
I worked on cleaning out my DVR last night – all Chicago since Jenka was just there – Chicago Med, Fire & PD.
Woot! Should’ve had deep dish for dinner!
I saw an ad that Aldi has some frozen deep dish right now – I may go grab one. (I used to try to do it from scratch, it came out ok, but a lot of work to make the crust & sauce, etc.
Wordle in 3, starting with SAINT.
Nice Westin hotel in Huntsville. Lots of athletes here already. Saw a guy in his world champions jersey whoch was pretty cool. I thnk there are around 200 riders from all 6 continents.
Just back from some treadmill work. I brought cycling short and they do have a peloton bike, so maybe a ride tomorrow.
Registration starts at 10.

Food tonight for Survivor is a turkey noodle casserole that was in the way in the freezer.
Allan will be here to pretend to not watch some.
Sounds yummy! Thanks.
Woot! Thanks!
I forgot to report yesterday: we have a corner of the kitchen counter where crap had been accumulating for MONTHS. Yesterday before work I cleared it all out and put everything away. Go me!
Then last night Kevin said, “I’m going to stage things that are going to the cabin here” and promptly put something RIGHT THERE! Argh.
Nature abhors a vacuum? 😉 That is the epitome of a Sisyphean task to have stuff get put in the space you just reclaimed.
Today I returned 5 baseballs that have been in my yard for a few days and then tied the new growth on my tomato plants to their stakes. One plant is killing. The other two are lagging comparatively but are growing and blooming. This is a vast improvement over the couple of dud seasons that I experienced.
We’re going up tomorrow so the staging area is very temporary, otherwise I would’ve said something.
I was hoping that was the case.
Or maybe it’s just Kevin abhors a vacuum?
62 miles done, as is a Mexican lunch and 32 ounce Negra Modelo. Next up, go home and clean up for a trip OTP.
Went to Aldi for a couple things – they didn’t have any deep dish pizza – so no Chicago pizza for me for now.
Bought a couple $8.99 rose bushes – both of the ones I’ve bought previously were more expensive from Pikes – and both I call my Charlie Brown rose bushes as they are so scrawny. We will see if these do any better. (I planted right next to the others)
LOL on the Charlie Brown roses. Cutting them back severely might wake them up.
