Howdy from Raleigh! Spending the weekend up with the Raleigh Royalty. Tonight we are going to see a comedian named Erica Rhodes perform.
It appears that it will rain most of the weekend, a pattern that we have been in for about a month now. I drove through a lot of rain, some of it quite heavy, yesterday.
After my traditional stop at QT in Gaffney, SC I noticed that Fatz Cafe on I85 has closed. This Fatz location was mostly known for being the restaurant that sat under the big peach/ass water tower for Gaffney.
I solved today’s Wordle in two attempts; my starter today was CARVE.

If I recall it’s the most popular start word because it has so many vowels. It did me no favors today.
Went to see the comedian David Cross last night at the Variety. He played Tobias on Arrested Development. Our babysitter crapped out so Kevin stayed home and I went by myself. I went to Wrecking Bar first for dinner. David Cross was pretty funny, and very political. But Kevin bought the tickets on some 4th party online seller and when he transferred the tickets to me they changed the seats, and I ended up sitting in the very back corner in the very last row of the entire theater. I wish I could upload the photo I got someone to take of me, because it’s HILARIOUS. Like, literally the very back corner of the last row. Needless to say those were not the seats we bought. But whatever! It was fun.
We have my work end-of-year party tonight, which is usually a good time. But I am so ready for the weekend.

Yes, he mentioned that a few times. Apparently he grew up in Roswell but lived in Atlanta for a while. And he’s a big Braves fan!
I had heard rumors of him being at either Flat Iron or The EARL once.

Got some good work in on the trainer- so much so that Zwift raised my FTP 10 points! Damnit.

Learned lots about the clinic’s software and procedures. It’s very people-y with not a lot of space. I think it’ll be good once I’m settled in. There’s definitely no downtime to get sucked into my phone.
