I’m a major sleepy head today and I have no idea why. It’s already past 7am and I’m just starting to move about. I wish that I could close my eyes and go back to sleep for a few hours. I can’t today, because I’ve things to do…

I solved today’s Wordle in four attempts; my starter today was BLAST.

    Wordle in 3!

Not much to report. Debbie survived her first day, despite forgetting her lunch and the bag of toys for the puppy.

Rode indoors for a half hour. My heart wasn’t in it, but it was better than nothing.

Continued watching the Night Agent. Lots of plot twists.

We went to Scofflaw for the Plogging event, didn’t get enough exercise as we found plenty of trash near the cemetery right next to the brewery. Our bags were full, so we just headed back to Brewery. Allan’s bag was 10.5 lbs, Davey’s was 11.something, but then Joe (Slim) came in with a bag that was 13 lbs. So, Joe got the free pair of shoes. ON shoes doesn’t even make a 15, so if Allan had won, not sure what they would have done. They had shoes there to test – I tried the ON shoes, I think I’d need to wear them more, or try a different style, as I didn’t think they were all that super comfortable (but others LOVE them)

    • Slim probability cheated be adding sans and rocks to his bag. It’s sad that we can pick up so much garbage in extremely small amounts of space. Just kidding. Well done to the lot of you!

      • Barb says:

Trust me, we did accuse him of cheating. 😉
He won the Halloween costume contest too, so we decided West Stride just wants him to win every contest.

Slim always wins. He comes out to play! He was only looking for the heavy items. Fun evening. Glad y’all came out. The weather today is dismal. Going to be slow at the store.

It is storming big time here in Marietta this morning.

Started watching Modern Family on Hulu, I never have watched it consistently – so figured I’d see how it all started.

Its more a fill in show – I’ll find something on Netflix (as the commercials get on my nerves after a while)

    • Jenka says:

The commercials bothered us enough to pony up for the non-commercial subscription. The couple dollars difference is worth it to us.

      • Barb says:

Hulu is free with our Verizon plan, I looked into upgrading, but can’t do it. I’d have to buy a whole new subscription. So, we just don’t watch that much Hulu

      • David says:

I can’t abide TV ads either. I flamed out on the Only Murderers in the Building. Maybe I’ll restart Hulu down the line if they have another season. I did like the show, I think it was more of a timing thing, there was A LOT going on in my life back when I was watching it.

I had a very satisfying trip to CHARM this morning, unloaded at least at decades worth of misfit electronics. How good it is to be done with that. I also took a bunch of cardboard that was in my garage. And there’s now a crack in the ice, I have room to maneuver to get even more stuff out of that back area of my garage. My “get rid of at least one thing a day” program is going gangbusters. My friend Debra is participating too and lightening her load as well. Some days it’s literally just one thing, other days it’s one car load. It’s the consistency that is making the difference.

I’m dead in the water on Wordle with 2 attempts, 2 letters matched but nothing in the right place. I’ll pick it up later.

I let George out to stretch his legs this morning and a little while later, heard him push the back door open indicating he wanted to come back in. A moment later, I see him streaking across the back yard with Figgy in hot pursuit. George pushed the door open and let Fig out! Clearly they are sneaky-er than I give them credit for.

tomorrow – we are thinking about going to Hankook for korean tacos for lunch – if anyone reading here wants to join us.
Allan has to pick up some uniform stuff at a place right near there…..

  7. Hello from Gaffney SC where I have parked at QT to eat lunch. I’ve hit a ton of heavy rain driving this morning. No fun. If you guessed “Sugarloaf Pkwy” for where the M6’s TPMS would fire, give yourself a point.

    • Also, my AppleWatch battery is at 10% already. I don’t know if I knocked it off the chargers at night, or it had been running some process that killed the battery today. Once I got to I85 I turned off GPS, so that shouldn’t have been the culprit. I’m at a loss.

I didn’t realize you were road tripping today. I was just studying maps of Virginia for my return from the BMW rally in Richmond. State of VA’s website is pretty, but useless for trip planning- no maps! Google to the rescue!!

    • Barb says:

Here’s what I know about Virginia – I know a road that seems like an interstate, but is a state hwy has a speed limit of 55. So, an a$$hole cop that clocks you going 65 will give you a ticket.

I have a cousin that lives in Richmond – seems like a cool city (that I have never been to)

      • steve says:

I was there once for training at the Fed (late 90’s). And I should have gone when the world championships were there!!!

      • David says:

North and South Carolina are similar. I fattened their coffers way too much back in my early 20s. I learned the hard way that you only drive like you’re in Atlanta when in Atlanta, and not most other places. I spent a couple of months in Virginia Beach when I was in the Navy and enjoyed it.
