About yesterday’s chores:
I mentioned that I didn’t hit Sprouts nor Lowe’s. At Sprouts I was going to redeem a coupon I had in hand, and since I was going to pass right by a Sprouts thought I could get it done… until I got fed up with so much road construction. At Lowe’s I was going to cash in a $50 gift card for some more compost that I will use to fill a newly-planned raised garden bed.
As for Richards Variety Store? I went, and bought, a jigsaw puzzle. What?!?! Yes, I have been mulling over the idea of doing a jigsaw puzzle, and had recalled seeing one at Richards Variety Store that I wanted to try. The puzzle is 1000 pieces and is based on a Frank Lloyd Wright design.
Today is an indoor choring day. Tonight’s dinner will be an West African-inspired peanut stew from a cookbook called “Rust Belt Vegan Kitchen: Recipes, Resources, and Stories”.
Happy birthday to ITP-Reader Bob.
I solved today’s Wordle in four attempts; my starter today was ACORN
Wordle in 3 starting with BLAST. I had 4 correct letters in 2. Mini in 55.
Happy birthday, Bob!
Damn, yo!
Wordle in 4, using Paulie’s word, then David’s word as the 2nd try.
Mini – 2 minutes
Bought my Mega millions ticket, and a $3 scratcher – no win on the scratcher. (someday, someday)
Woo hoo! It’s a lottery party! We can all cry in our respective beers Friday night unless one of us hits it. The beer is definitely on me if I win! 😉
One slight alteration to today’s plan made— I made my Lowe’s run this morning since it’s supposed to rain today and then be bitterly cold tomorrow morning.
Oh yeah, Lowe’s had seed potatoes in stock so, even though it may be too early, I bought some.
Wordle in 6! My 5th guess was an error as I used a letter that was already nixed. Whew, indeed.
George is off to the vet today to become an “it”. Sorry buddy, but maybe this will calm you down a bit and you’ll stop humping your brother.
My haircut mostly passed inspection by the mizzus… at least she said “well, you got your money’s worth!”. Ouch.
NYT Travel has 52 places to visit this year and 3 are easy drives- Greenville, Charleston, and Macon! I’m already planning a trip to Macon on my scooter!
-FP
I have Macon in my sights for a brewery and bbq trip. Perhaps I’ll wait until the weather is warmer and take the bicycle there for a ride as well.
And Steve, Betsy is still fighting her lingering cough as well. Hope yours has disappeared.
Oh yeah, I’ve thrown $10 away on lottery tickets. Stupid, but what the hell.
Thank you for standing in solidarity with me. 🙂
That, and it’s for “education”. Hahaha
Yes, it definitely educates me to spend my money in better ways, there is definitely that.
Wordle in two. Happy Birthday Bob. Roof still leaks in the same place, apparently. argh. Dogsitting again this week. Nothing too exciting other than there’s now a spy plane sitting at Dobbins. No nude sunbathing I guess.
You go, girl!
Two? In-con-ceivable! 😀 Well done you!
Sorry about the roof. I’ll repair yours and mine when I win the Mega Millions.
I hadn’t heard about the spy plane.
Did everyone notice – Sally chimes in when she gets Wordle in 2……..????
Chimed in because it was Bob’s birthday! ????????
WooHoo, thanks Sal!
Jigsaw puzzles are great, you can really check out and be in the moment. Just listen to some tunes and chill. I need to do more of them.
Thanks for the birthday wishes, it’s a dry January cheat day! W00T!
Steve, I’ll be able to join you on a scooter ride soon. I have a Honda dual sport on order and should have it in a few weeks.
Happy Birthday Bob! Doing anything interesting today?
It’s Thursday so it’s a ramble night! Although with the storms coming in it may be a bimble at a brewery with the hooligans.
Woo Hoo! Sounds like fun.
And a very happy birthday. Capricorns unite!
Happy birthday Bob, hope it’s a great one!
Rough day at work for both of us yesterday so we took Finn to Surin for dinner. I picked him up from school and I left at 3:00 and got home at 5:00. Yep, that’s a two hour round trip, and Kevin does this twice a day. The man is a saint. Technically he goes to his office in between, which is halfway closer. But still!
I may buy a lottery ticket!
where does Finn’s mom live? she doesn’t do any of the school trips?
That’s a rough school commute for sure.
Finn’s mom lives about 2 miles from us in Morningside. We have 50-50 custody so she does the days when she has him. It turns out to be 2-3 days per week for each parent.
And we’re making the news because of the tornado!
Now you’re in it, Paulie!
tornado down by you Steve?
You’ll read tomorrow that all is fine here.
