I am trying to decide if today will be an out-of-house choring day, or if I will put that off until tomorrow.
I solved today’s Wordle in four attempts; my starter today was FEATS
Tuesday Tale of the Tape (returns!): 196.2 pounds (-2.0 from my January 1st weigh-in); a lot of work to do…
I am glad I chose not to watch that football slaughter last night. Between now and August I can only hope that UGA is found guilty of NCAA violations… 🙂
Wordle in 5 starting with LEAST. Mini in 45.
I’m going to ride on the Comet Friday afternoon with my friend Stuart. I’m looking forward to getting some miles in. I have the first dance lesson in my life on Saturday.
Nice!
I need to start prepping Ye Olde Road Bike for some mileage.
Wordle in 4 starting with TREAD.
Having watched both semi-final games, I really expected more from TCU. As I had to be in the office this morning, I turned it off sometime in the third quarter. Congrats to the UGA fans on the blog.
Mickey is one step closer to being off the payroll. Debbie delivered him to the barn in Ocala where he will get plenty of look-sees.
1st Games meeting of the year tonight. October 21st and 22nd. Not too early to get those ticket- well, it might be too early.

Interview with Wordle Editor
If this lady isn’t typecast as a librarian, I don’t know who is.
Editor? Why the heck does it need an editor?
I was still had the impression that the Wordle word list was based off the original list in the source code written by Josh Wardle. (fun fact: you now know what the game is called “Wordle”.) I have this word list saved, and was going to use it for my Wordle clone app I will put into my professional portfolio.
I’d say it falls into the “nice work if you can get it” arena.
Agreed
WordPress, or perhaps the servers running it, continue to take far too long sending me email that people have commented. I have yet to receive emails for David’s or Steve’s comment.
Decision made, out-of-house choring will occur tomorrow.
Current Status: burning wood in WLF in the name of “cleaning up”.
Wish I had covered my one-year old fig tree because I’m fearful that hard freeze around Christmas may have killed it.
A no delay pickup of the in-laws last night – flight landed around 1015pm.
Allan was working, so I swung by the firehouse & he went out of service & rode with me. He made the mistake of going inside to help with the luggage (in his uniform) and some lady who didn’t speak English “needed” help. So we got delayed, not by Mary & TJ, but by him having to be helpful.
Wordle in 5 –
Mini – I had a wrong letter & couldn’t figure out what I had done. Oh well…….
You can click the life-ring icon and have it show you the wrong letter(s).
well that’s crazy talk…… (thanks)
LOL
Kevin has an early morning hearing this morning in Cordele so he drove down yesterday and I got to spend a glorious night alone in my house. A very, very rare opportunity. I watched the football debacle on one device and movies on the other and then slept diagonally in the middle of the bed. HAH!
Very busy day at work today as it is our spring Convocation.
Driving to my parking garage this morning I saw a student wearing a t-shirt. It’s 36 damn degrees out!
Youngsters are stupid. Lol
It’s great to see you living your best life, Jenka. 🙂
It’s going to be 60 this afternoon, I would say that student is a forward thinker 🙂
I’m 100% sure Allan is not wearing a jacket…….
Unless he is working I’d bet money on that he is wearing shorts.
Trying to get in to some sort of shape (instead of pear) to kick off the riding season. I have actually done 4 days in a row on the trainer. I forgot how mind numbingly boring the trainer is, I don’t know how people do it.
Good on ya Bob!
I have a projector television which entertains me as I pedal. Make it like BRAG and get off every thirty minutes to eat something. LOL
Good idea but it is way too early to start my PB&J bender LOL
Good to know. A friend is gifting me their old trainer. I plan to try listening to the audio books that I’ve started and never finished.
I’ve tried listening to podcasts while on the trainer and have never quite been able. I don’t know if it’s a function of my hearing or focus. I do better with video. Netflix is your friend on the trainer and fortunately my old iPad still can pull it down, whereas it’s unable to run Zwift- too old.
trainer riding – what a great idea – we have talked about it – but haven’t dusted it off yet. Allan has the rollers – I’ll never attempt that.
Maybe I’ll go to a spin class at the Y – I know, crazy idea.
C’mon Barb, rollers are fun! No watching videos on the rollers, though.
my bones are old – I would not heal fast enough – I know I would crash
Same!
It might be 60 later, but still cold outside.
On the fire throwing trip Saturday, I took my “new” 70-300 lens (Christmas 2021) out for its maiden voyage. FAIL- would not auto-focus and wouldn’t even manual focus! As it was the only lens we brought, double fail. It’s now on the way back to Nikon for repair.
Bummer about the lens. I have camera gear still, perhaps I’ll use it again this year…
Think I’ve inhaled enough smoke for one morning, time to eat lunch soon.
Showered, eating Americanized fried rice for lunch. It’s a meal that helps use a lot of bits and bobs of leftovers.
We went to a place called The Bowl – Allan had ramen, I had stir fried ramen – it was way too expensive, but they were both very big portions, so we do have a 2nd meal of both for another day.
I just awoke from an amazing nap. Not sure how long I was out, but holy cow it was restorative!
