I solved today’s Wordle in four attempts; my starter today was GRAZE. I should have had it in three, but I changed my third guess from the correct answer to an incorrect one.

No weigh-in today, because I don’t want to start my day being depressed.

    Wordle in 5, Mini in 35. Kudos on skipping the weigh in. It is what it is, especially at this age.

    Wordle in 5 with a whiff on my starter word. Mini in under 2.

    As I worked on a problem yesterday afternoon, a donkey casually walked through the backyard. I said the appropriate panic word- JAILBREAK but Debbie was also on a call and couldn’t respond. With a little help from George, we managed to corral the wild donkey and set her straight. And I locked the door she escaped through! Debbie got to clean up the mess as I didn’t leave the door unlocked.

    Last Games meeting tonight. Our surprise yesterday was to hear from our wonderful Scottish food vendor. His shop is about 10 miles inland, if that much from Sanibel Island!! He said he’ll be here, but will not have his full inventory. I’m just glad they are alright!

    Yesterday’s Wordle in 4, seems like every single one these days I get in 4.

    A month away from Halloween and yet every house on our street has blow up decorations already (I call them blow jobs). I dislike Halloween with the power of a thousand suns.

      I’m not sure where Halloween took off like a rocket… I could go either way.

        The only good thing about having them all over the neighborhood is that I get to call them blowjobs! Although the light-up unicorn skeleton two doors down from me is pretty cool.

      Halloween returns to being a non-event for me this year. I tried to book a campsite at Hard Labor, but they were not reservable online.

        We switch off years with Finn’s mother so every other year when we don’t have him we shut down the house and go out to dinner. Unfortunately this year we have him, so there will be trick-or-treating and also, he just gets so spazzed out excited. He’s ALREADY spazzed out excited.

    Heard from one of my drinking buddies that he has the same symptoms I had over the weekend. Guess I was a non-COVID spreader.

    Repair guy here to figure out what’s up with our vent hood.

    He took it all apart – there were 2 dead cockroaches up in there. Not sure if that’s the only problem, but those damn little things. Since we sealed up the kitchen so well when we redid it – they have so few places to go – now, the vent hood????? We have the house sprayed 4 times a year – and that isn’t enough.

      and – it needs a new circuit board – so, they are ordering a part & will be back probably early next week

    Wordle in TWO starting with AISLE. The answer is one of my go-to words if none of the vowels in aisle are in play. Mini in :47.

    Gauzy has a recheck yesterday from the vet and has a mild case of pneumonia. Poor girl has really struggled with this transition.

    My 0900 wireless troubleshooting call morphed over into my 10:00 bi-weekly meeting and is still going on. Now if the idiots can just back out the change they made over the weekend, I can get back to doing my regular job.

    just got signed up for a flu vaccine trial – either get a MRNA one, or a regular one – and get paid $125 to do it. There is some online reporting that needs to be done, and may have to go back to the office in Norcross again, but will get paid for all of it.
    AND – I got Allan signed up, so he will get paid too, and I get $100 referral !

      I lost out on $80 yesterday. I was initially chosen to do a $100 online focus group. After I logged in I was told that I was not needed, and will be paid $20 instead.
