It’s kind of ironic that I planned to stay indoors for my afternoon activities because of the rain predicted, but no rain arrived until after dark. And it doesn’t appear that much fell then either. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Last night was the last scheduled German class, so I paid for a quarter and attended no classes. 🥴 I haven’t signed up for next quarter, so I have official given up for now.

Not too much happened in my world yesterday. I read my new offer letter, and while sufficient, I still don’t think I will be an employee for a long time.

Last night I used some of the zucchini and squash I’ve harvested recently in an improvised casserole that I ate as a side dish with dinner. It was a fairly successful experiment, and I will be interested to taste the leftovers. With the possible exception of last Saturday I have successfully incorporated something from WLF into at least one meal each day this month. Woot!

I’m not 100% sure what my weekend holds yet. As of now I expect to be riding Sunday Wheelhopper hash. It’s not supposed to rain (much?) in Atlanta for the next handful of days, which probably means that it will rain, so my options for today and tomorrow are abundant. Maybe I’ll work WLF? Maybe I’ll drink beer? Maybe, maybe, maybe…
What is not your agenda?

Hope you have a happy and healthy weekend.

  1. Quick tour of WLF done. There is a bug that looks like, and may be, a ladybug, but it’s more orange than red. As far as I can tell this bug’s lot in life is to strip zucchini and squash leaves down to their veins, so I continue to kill them. I killed three this morning. Sorry Nature.

    • Some carrots planted. The only thing better than planting them would have been to label each box when planted. I now have a 50/50 chance of the labels I put in being correct. 🤦🏻‍♂️

You are so attentive to WLF. I am exactly the opposite. I might go check on my plants every few days, and maybe pull a few weeds.

Pork butt going on the Egg today since Allan is working Saturday.
1 or 2 ‘hooligans are stopping by today to have Allan do some bike work.
If the grass is ever dry, it will get mowed.

    • It’s my current passion, and I keep hoping to eat more food from it going forward,

Rain is expected to stop by tomorrow, you’ll be mowing in no time!

Sitting in Decatur, waiting to go see the eye doc. Messaged back and forth with Sal and could not hook up. They were waiting to be seated for dinner (I gathered). Could have done a bit better planning on my part.

Home appraiser came and went. Pictures and a hand drawn floor plan.

I have all my gear ready for whatever comes for the races this weekend. I’m expecting wet.

I got another “cook” for Sunday, a pasta salad & broccoli salad will be there!

  5. Rain started, which is why I needed to do my WLF chores this morning. Glad I didn’t water any crops. Hope I didn’t leave anything outside…

    Ooh, lightning and thunder!
