I’m writing today’s blog post on Monday night as I do a little mindless YouTube watching. The reasons for my early penning is that this morning I am out in the yard continuing my improvement efforts.
Yesterday was mostly a mundane Monday. I worked, managed 45 minutes on the trainer, and did a little German homework. The highlight of my day was visiting My Friends Bottle Shop with Bonnie where we purchased beer for this weekend’s camping extravaganza. Woot! Once again I read the weather tea leaves correctly and pulled in my drying laundry before the rain, which was rather substantial, came down.
When I wind up today’s yard work I’ll take a quick shower before starting my work day. Hi ho. Hi ho. It’s off to work in my home office I go.
Tuesday Tale of the Tape: 195.2 pounds (-1.6 from last week’s weigh-in); satisfactory result.
Hope your week is going well.
A visit yesterday from the new loggers. We spoke to them, then they wandered about and will be back in a day or so to mark the keepers and map out a plan. I think these guys are the real deal.
I have finally made a bit of progress on my data mining class. I finally figured out I wasn’t reading the file properly and once I figured out how to do it, it popped right up. Now to basically start over!
35 minutes on the trainer. After the nice afternoon rain, it was pleasantly “cool” so onto the trainer I went.
Phinney returns home tomorrow. He is having some hoof issues and we think it’s been too damp where he is to get his hoof dried out. It will be nice to have him home- I just hope the girls and he all can get along.
And… (da daa da daaaa) I will be IN THE OFFICE tomorrow! Finally have enough to make a day of it. It’s going to suck getting up so early.

Normally I’d assume The Fed has a plan in place to keep you healthy, but giving the Government’s lack of governing since March, I wish you well.
Temp check at the door, mask all the time except when at your desk, social distancing. Considering most of my work will be in the computer room or up a ladder installing new access points, I shouldn’t have any issues. And I scheduled a HAIRCUT for tomorrow afternoon!!
Here’s a fun fact not many people discuss: the number of insect bites suffered by people who ignore yard work is a lot lower than those who do yard work; two more “ant†bites today. 😢
Apparently three yard bags (the last of which ripped when I want to take it for the back yard 😡), or two ant bites, is my limit for a day’s worth of yard work.
Greeting from the transportation world that is so messed up.
SCT ride sounded fun, but too fast for me.
I told Allan we need to get on the road bikes soon.
Not sure if we will make an appearance at the BYOB hash or not – not feeling like dragging the camper up there for 1 night, but we might come by to swim & socialize a little.
Hope you make it, even if it’s just for a little while. I’m sure the water will be lovely this weekend.
the water will probably be like bath water – but warm water is better than no water!
