When I purchased the ticket for last night’s concert at 529 I knew it would be a stretch. Yesterday was an early morning followed by work, then exercise, then Betsy’s for dinner. When I realized that half-mindedly scheduled my auto service for 7:30am in Jonesboro Road, I knew that the concert wasn’t going to happen. And it didn’t, but I did make it to the auto appointment on time, driving through some really heavy rain to get there. I can’t believe that I am going to say this, but the rain caused me to not walk to Waffle House this morning so I saved some calories by buying a sweet from dealer’s vending machine.
Another long day awaits me today.
The only solace I take in feeling overwhelmed recently is that I am the reason my schedule is so packed, and I have the power to unpack it.
We had the opposite of a busy day.
Leisurely morning talking with old hasher buddies.
Meet up to get passed off to our Vero Beach friends around lunch time.
Short walk on the beach (it was windy) & then just hanging out.
This morning, we will attempt to catch fish by shore fishing.
(Really just an excuse to sit on the beach)
After that……. who knows.
Sometimes a vacation with nothing planned is the best thing.
That sounds wonderful Barb!
Hope you catch some good fishies. Are y’all throwing back or planning a fish fry if you’re successful?
Depends on what we catch. I doubt we will catch dinner, but it’s a nice thought. It will be nice to just a something.
In other news: I have been listening to “Marigold†the new record from Pinegrove almost daily. I’ve not listened to an album so much in many years. It’s the perfect record for this gloomy weather.
Poop, sorry about the concert. I would have liked to go too 😕. Now that the gym’s WiFi appears to be fixed (😮), perhaps I can give “Marigold†a listen. But it may have to wait until tomorrow… today is cardio day and it may better serve as weights day music??? Or if I row today perhaps that would be fitting?
Like I said, I do this to myself… and I’m old.
It’s a slow album, so probably not good for cardio.
In the office, except for hitting another of Atlanta’s gigantic potholes a fairly slow and uneventful drive from Morrow.
Dealer suggesting another $1000 of work in the near future. I may have entered “new car shopping†time?
Curious what the dealer thinks is wrong that costs $1k?? I was thinking I might be interested in your hand-me-down vehicle.
Since Debbie (and Ceili) rode down in her friends rig, I had the responsibility of retrieving ours. Not a bad ride over, but since the CX bike is still down with a flat, the MTB was the choice. Also, I wasn’t sure where on the property she had parked, so was ready to off road as needed. 12 miles of windy, “busy” road later, the rig was not far from the gate and I was away.
Only minor connectivity problems working from home. The hotspot on my bank iPhone does pretty well.
Who is riding what this weekend?

Many things, most costing in the $100-$300 range. Dealer pricing, I know.
No fish were caught, not even a bite.
Pretty windy.
2 hours out there was enough.
We will try again tomorrow.
Thought I was going to make my first Amazon Treasure Truck visit, but by the time I got back to it after running my errand they had closed shop.
What were they selling today? If you miss the window, do they ship it to you?
I have no idea. They were parked outside Colony Square and I walked up the other side of Peachtree. When I returned they were all buttoned up.
I don’t know who Eric Nam is but people are already lined up outside Tabernacle to see him tonight.
