It’s 8:10 and a pity that I am still unshowered and in bed because the sound of helicopters hovering over I-20 right now tells me that there’s been accident. A look at Google Maps shows me that the accident has occurred at I-20 and Moreland Avenue, and if were ready to go I could possibly miss it all by taking an alternate route. However, I am not ready so it’s anybody’s guess how long it will take me to get to work today. Well, at least I am not part of the accident…

A quick glance at the highway cams shows it’s still there, but shouldn’t affect your commute.

Since I rode at lunch, I had an evening to putter on bikes. Deciding to swap the CX from street to actual cross tires (thanks Allan!), I managed to puncture the tube as I swapped the first one. Also realized my patch kits were old and dried out. Santa? Are you hearing me?

The department is having a get together at 4 in the executive area this afternoon. Can’t call it a Christmas party, but there will be hor d’oeuvres and beer/wine.

Games Board meeting (bored) tonight to see how bad the Saturday gate was. Ugly is the word I heard.

And off the rest of the week!

We are working with Allan’s mom to organize TJs work (junk) room while he is out in WA for some race.
Allan says he has TONS of tubes, and tires, wheels, and everything else bike related.
if we can ever get it all organized this week – maybe you can come to Marietta to see what Santa has.

I’m liking the sound of this!! I had a spare, so that carefully went in and the rear wheel also behaved. I think I’ve finally remembered where the spares for the MTB are, as I need to replace a tube there- slow leak.

  2. I turned lemons into lemonade, or as the case was this morning German Christmas snacks for Aldi. I promised my German class I’d bring some tonight.

My neighborhood Facebook page said the accident was an overturned bus.

  4. Another Engineering All Hands Meeting at “XYZ Corp” tomorrow, this time without lunch. One more time for Scrooge to arrive before Christmas?

Tune in tomorrow to find out…

  5. I am sure that I am late to the party on this, but it appears Octane (Revelator?) at Woodruff Arts Center is no more, it’s now called “Ovation”.
