You can tell that I am out of sync returning to work this morning because I am late (later than normal), and as I got out of my car I realized that I forgot to bring my lunch. Dangen!
The remainder of the long weekend was quite fun. I attended both Dayroom shows
visited the Atlanta German Christkindl Market (it was good, but not great), and visited the relatively-new Best End Brewery where I drank a decent beer and ate some delicious food. Oh yeah, I also hashed Fat Boy on Saturday if you can call walking around a park for about a half-mile hashing.
For me November turned out to be Retrovember; I planted trees with Trees Atlanta and saw Dayroom in concert, it was like I was back in 1998!
Addendums:
– I registered for BRAG Spring Tune Up.
– Werder Bremen managed a much-needed win yesterday.
– The NY Jets were in another generous mood yesterday, gifting the Bengals their first win of the year. Earlier in the year the Jets did the same for the Dolphins.
– I can’t believe people still call today “Cyber Mondayâ€.
– Tomorrow is “#GivingTuesday†for GA Gives.
– UF beat FSU. This was a good season that would only have been better had they also beaten LSU and UGA.
I’m still listening to Dayroom constantly ðŸ˜. Such a fun show! Wish I was familiar with them before now…
Maybe they’ll start a new thing and reunite every Thanksgiving! 🤜ðŸ»ðŸ¤›ðŸ»
We can only hope… 🙂
I watched AL/AUB Saturday- well, a good portion of it, as Debbie decided we needed to run an errand and pick up a seed spreader from a friend who was available. While the outcome was disappointing for me as an Alabama fan, it was certainly as exciting a football game as you ever would want to watch. “We” were outplayed a bit and outcoached a bunch.
Sunday had me out on the scooter running more errands in order to repair the seed spreader- which only time and penetrating lubricant will tell. Debbie went to the Wild Animal Park in Pine Mtn. with nieces and nephews (I guess grands). Came back with a large water tank she found online- previously filled with “bee water” (sugar water) according to the online ad. In actuality, previously contained water soluble glue (Elmer’s) which took several hours to remove. Oh. What. Fun.
The tractor’s gas tank is cleaned and refilled and appears to be working fine.
Phinney is on his way to a new home. So long, buddy- make good choices.

Adulting is in my near future; I am not looking forward to doing it all.
I didn’t realize Phinney was on the way out..
He’s going to a landowner where we have hunted a few times. Won’t have to trailer anywhere, will just be able to leave the barn and ride. He’s going to be happier we think.
I rode the Path 400 trail on Saturday for the first time. There’s so much bait-and-switch when it comes to bike trails in Atlanta. First half-mile off of Piedmont near Lindbergh looked promising, then the trail unceremoniously ran out. Figured out that it resumes again across from the QuikTrip on Sidney Marcus, which was looking promising until I hit the chain link gate with a high voltage sign on it right across the fully completed trail. Meandered on surface streets parallel and picked up the herky-jerky trail again near East Paces Ferry. There’s a pretty decent stretch from Lenox Road at Piedmont up to Wieuca Road, then the trail vanishes again, but supposedly resumes further down Wieuca at Mountain. My riding companion wanted to turn around at that point and so we did.
Unrelated, I purchased Hamilton tickets today when they went on sale. I got kicked out of the queue due to some site error but managed to get to the My Account page on the Fox site and log in. Prices aren’t as ungodly as they were during the prior run two years ago. My companion for that night has a t-shirt that says “My thoughts have been replaced by Hamilton lyrics”, so it’s going to be a fun time.
For hashing concerns I have tried to map that GA400 path using Google Maps only to be confused and quit.
I heard Bonnie bought tickets fo Hamilton too. I have to admit that I have yet to hear a single song, and have no drive to see it. I know, I am certainly in the minority…
Well Paulie, in being in that minority you’ve got more money in your pocket than the rest of us suckers. 😉😂
My earlier attempts to find all of the parts of the Westside Beltline served me here, as I at least had a better sense of what to look for. Regarding the gates blocking the trail, neither MARTA or Norfolk Southern have signed off on allowing access to close to their property. Sure seems like something that should have been figured out BEFORE the concrete was poured.

That’s a great shirt :).
Thanks, Bonnie, she wears it well. 🙂
I love musicals, but apparently I’m in Paulie’s camp when it comes to “Hamilton”. And maybe I just like “classic” musicals. (and you kids get off my lawn!)
Shame about the 400 Path. Sounds like a major CF. I’m sure it has to be road/paved trail, as I could never imagine any contiguous land, except actual train RoW
Well, if you ever give it a shot, you’ll see why Lin-Manual Miranda won a MacArthur Genius Grant for his work.
And a Pulitzer too.
Steve should not throw away his shot to see Hamilton. (See what I did there?)
I totally see what you did there, well-played. I sure wasn’t going to throw away my shot this time around.
I’m opposite—I prefer “modern†musicals to the classics. But I’m also younger. 😎😉
Oh man, shots fired! 😉
I’m an old-school man, I do not prefer musicals… 😂
busy morning – oh wait – its afternoon.
maybe I’ll have time to type something up later – or tomorrow.
parent’s visit went very well.
