No one who knows me even a little will be surprised to read that I once again fell asleep on the futon while watching “tvâ€. I awoke around 3am only to shrug my shoulders and return to slumber until the alarm clock in the bedroom blared at 5:15am.
I have been waiting for the announcement of Saturday’s trail start before making my Moonlite start official; unless AH4 runs in my direct area I will be laying trail from The Carter Center on Monday night.
Yeah, staying as stressed out as you do is flat out exhausting.
I hope your birthday hash does indeed start there :).
I slept like shit last night. I’ve probably been awake since before 4am. And have I done anything productive or timely to what I need to get done today? Nope, I’ve been googling camping organization and storage hacks (fun!) and random browsing on Amazon (which I should have done on Prime Days 🙄).
Oh, and cuddling with cats â¤ï¸.
I feel ya, I pretty much sleep like shit every night. Cuddling with cats does help compensate though.

I was already planning on being a half hour late this morning, as I have a late meeting I have to cover, but the 45 minutes I sat with the engine off on I-85 was not counted in that equation. After checking the DOT website with their estimate of clearage still a half hour away, I went backwards on the ramp at exit 47. A nice Newnan police officer at the end of the ramp greeted me and asked what part of this was legal. He politely told me to turn around and wait. MF. After we got moving, there was no indication of what caused the stoppage.
Tonight, a meeting with the Park at Local 7 in Tucker. Volunteering is hell.

Well, it sounds like he didn’t do any paperwork on you, so it could have been worse. Regardless, that’s a rough start to a day. It does help to see the cause. I got stuck in a 90 minute delay returning from Gulf Shores last month. Turns out the rig of an 18 wheeler was practically melted when I got by it. Someone clearly had a worse day than me.
Heard Saturday’s start is at Wayfield Foods on Bouldercrest, which means that I am committed to The Carter Center. Now, where to end… 🤔
The Righteous Room comes to mind.
I’m sure it’s basically the same area but AH4 website says South River Trail Intrenchment Creek (off Bouldercrest as we both know). Why is it that the hashes that I don’t plan to do are close to home? 🙄
Pushed by the hashing gods, that is all. 😉
Been through the service walkways from Ponce towards George’s lately? Out the Path towards Candler Park, back in along S. Ponce, a check at Briarcliff and north on the service path.
You’re welcome.
I’ve some ideas in mind, I’m trying to decide where I want to eat/drink. The weather may play a factor too.
Hot and more hot. Stay off the pavement. See above.
FP – who rarely hashes, is reccying for you – gotta love it!
Last night’s birthday dinner was very nice, went to Pizzeria Lucca in Roswell. TASTY pizza, a lot like Antico in the wood fired process.
On Monday’s & Tuesday’s you can BYOB with no corkage – Hot Pocket & I were talking about doing a hash ending there someday.
I can reccy Monday night in areas I know all day long!! 🙂
And depending on how much I can get packed this weekend before our trip departure on Wednesday, I may actually show up and run the trail.
Plus, I’ve been jonesing for a George’s burger lately.
