It’s somewhat surreal for me to realize that I started going there in 2006, for a photography group, though like many things in my life stopped doing for some reason.
good story – I had no idea there was a basement music venue.
Perhaps surprisingly, neither did I.
I took the garbage out last night, and I swear it only rained on half of my house (at that point). There was water coming out the downspout, but the driveway was dry.
That was weird.
I painted the wall behind the dishwasher & the refrigerator (per Allan’s request)- found an old rusty gallon of paint in the basement – those 2 areas now have the same paint color as the entry hall.
We can’t really pick a wall color yet- since the lighting isn’t done, I haven’t picked any fabric for the bench seating. This part of the remodel is getting hard.
We may go at lunch today or tomorrow to look at countertops.
Good morning from Birmingham. A quick day trip, which was supposed to be over night so I could have dinner with Terri (Sleazy Rider). And as I drove the local network in Atlanta was taking a beating, while my partners’ car died and he was waiting on a wrecker!! Holy f! The big boss requested I pull over and “dial in” to see what was going on, but by the time I got to an exit, Sam was online and checking.
So much for a relaxing trip.

Got a letter from the HOA stating my front steps are too dirty / need to be pressure washed and are in violation. Whoops. I’m just glad they didn’t point out more, because the entire yard is probably in violation. More to add to the to-do list…
Jesus Christ, I could never live in a “Community†since my house and yard is a pig sty compared to yours.
Gotta love HOAs. Someone has way too much time on their hands.
“its not dirty, its historic!” My new favorite line.
It’s all about the patina. 😉
Well then, I’m glad Grant Park is a historic district…my house isn’t dirty, it’s historic! 😉
When I run across situations like this where someone is so tightly wound that “dirty steps” cause them to leap into action, I’m grateful for the progress I’ve made on becoming less tightly wound myself.
We have a stove installed! (and the dishwasher).
Allan had the plumber come by, since even with all the specs he still felt it wasn’t going to be right, and it wasn’t. Got it all fixed. Now the Plumber just has to come back one day to finish up the sink, pot filler, and I’m not sure what else.
*fist bump*
Friends just put their house on the market this morning in NJ (not too far from Princeton area) and already have a cash full priced offer. Gotta love the housing market.
they want to move back to Atlanta eventually, so figured renting would make it easier in the future.
