I decided to skip last night’s Moonlite trail and instead popped into Value Village looking for future hashing sneakers and something to wear to prom; I struck out on both accords.

I stopped into a Kroger next and then went home and made a delicious meal of “Mushrooms and Dumplings” (think “vegetarian version of chicken and dumplings”) in the Instant Pot.

When the air “cooled” (not nearly enough) I went out for a short walk to combat some of the calories I had ingested.

Tuesday Tale of the Tape: 212.6 pounds (+0.6 from last week’s weigh-in; +5.4 from last year’s weigh-in — YIKES!) I want to figure out what I did right last year…

Sorry for missing out on a lunch opportunity yesterday. As I explained to Steve this morning already, I unexpectedly found myself without phone or computer all day and had no way of contacting anyone. Hopefully there will be another opportunity soon.

Where is there a Value Village? I remember one in Doraville when I first moved to Georgia (I lived not too far from it). I loved that place. Same kind of place?

    • Probably the same as I have been to them in other states and in Canada.

There are two ITP that I have visited, Moreland Av (down by the landfill, on Custer Av) and Memorial Dr (near the WalMart, and Steve’s old house for the ITP old timers).

  2. Steve says:

Wow.. ITP old timers still remember my old house! That’s been a while.

I broke below 209 for the first time in a long while this morning, but I’m guessing it was because I’m still dehydrated from 20 miles last night.

For some reason, I just felt wasted the whole day yesterday. Thought I might be coming down with something, but feel fine today. Forced myself to ride last night.

HwC started a rumor yesterday about lunch at OKC… I’m just trying to keep it rolling..

    • *fist bump*

I’m a bit confused why I am not dropping any weight because I am drinking a lot less, not eating considerably more, all while trying to get *some* exercise daily.

I’m in for an OK Cafe trip, depending on schedules.

One word: metabolism. They aren’t joking when they say it’s harder to lose weight as you get older; I see the same thing. Maybe try increasing your water intake (especially cold water) or eat more spicy foods to jump start it?

  3. Having a really rough day today, nothing is working in my favor. 💩
