Hope you were all able to dig yourselves out of the snow dumped by that blizzard yesterday. 😂
I need to figure out how to get healthy (healthier) again. Some of the things going on with my body are not normal, and have been investigated by doctors but are not improving. Others, like the pain behind my right knee which began yesterday, are just weird given that I can’t imagine how I caused them to happen. Sadly my bothersome knee kept me off my trainer and on the couch all last night.
I know that this blog has turned into the ramblings of a person that sounds thirty years older than he really is, but our health is the one thing that keeps us here and without good health life is tougher, unhappier, and perhaps shorter than it needs to be.
Here’s to hoping we all have a better and healthier, albeit very cold, day today.
Supposedly our “XYZ Corpâ€
Super BowlBig Game party today is serving chicken wings. While this won’t help my waistline or health, eating some may improve my mood every so slightly. In the meantime I continue to seek out Instant Pot recipes for which I can substitute tofu for chicken. 🤷ðŸ»â€â™‚ï¸
Whatcha all doing for this year’s Big Game on Sunday? I’d host a party, but you know, plumbing issues and being out of state make that prohibitive. 🙄
There’s a game on Sunday? In the past I’ve found that during the game is a magnificent time to go shopping if I have errands to run. Breeze in and breeze out.
Its going to be a balmy low 40s today!
looks like it will be in the 50s for the weekend – I’m sure the city is thrilled with that.
I’ll be flying to Iowa on Saturday, so I will try to find somewhere to watch the game – maybe find some HS friends.
I have an apt tomorrow afternoon with a root canal guy (endodontist) – not your guy – decided to go with the doctor on the referral ppwk. Its way up in North Cobb – so I may go to Culvers – just to make Stacy Fox jealous.
You getting it done tomorrow, or just evaluated? Good luck either way.
I’ll find out – won’t I? I’d love to just get it done, but who knows.
Sure. I was curious since I first went in for an evaluation, and do the procedure next week.
I asked her if they could do it same day, she said maybe. but – she’s the scheduler – would she really know?
Lol, re-listening to “The Sunshine Show†from September 28, 2009. 2009 was the year Fucked Up won the Polaris Music Award in Canada and Richard “Sunshine Dick†Johnson has quite the beef with their band name.
Barb, depending on what your dentist sent to this doc, they may just get cracking.
Just coming up for air. The boss’s boss’s boss, who likes to get things done directly stopped in my office asking for a diagram of a network I don’t have much visibility into. I didn’t quite make things up, but had to gather the data just the same, then relearn Visio (which I was never very good at).
Brought my CX shoes to ride the spin bike. If those pedals aren’t SPD, this will be a very short workout.

Just entered a “Guess the Number of M&Ms in the Jar†contest and realized that I did my math wrong. At least I know I won’t win now…
Also due to the number of wings ordered v. the number of employees who showed up and ate, I only got to get four wings. I am not sure it was worth spending a Meat Day on them. 😢
But “meat day” isn’t over yet!
The CX shoes fit the spin bike. Now hopefully, the slightly different position didn’t mess with my knee too much.
True, but I am dining at a Betsy’s tonight and she’s making the food. Perhaps she’ll have meat?
I always worry about that since I have hurt myself twice tweaking with my foot positions. Of course, I don’t even have to exercise to hurt myself now…
Well, it’s not actually a foot position issue. More of the rest of the “bike” setup, as everything else has to align. As I just walked around the building a bit, I can feel it, but nothing too serious.
And neither of us have to be exercising to get injured. My back is almost back to normal after almost dropping my scooter Saturday trying to get it on the center stand. It started to fall away from me but I caught it.
I guess. Now I recall hurting my knee by lifting my seat in an attempt to generate more pedal power.
Steve – Allan really strained his hamstring trying to not drop the his moto – be happy you weren’t injured like he was – that was 2 full weeks of hyperbarics to feel better (which would have taken a good month without the hyperbarics)
We attempted to go to the Red Eyed Mule for lunch – WAY TOO PACKED – so we didn’t wait around.
Maybe next week.
Allan will have to go back to playing mobile medic tomorrow – he’s hoping to get sent to be on the “Buckhead” team, which basically is hanging around Lenox.
