In shock about Sleaze Puppy. Always very pleasant to me.

TLC said it best- speak to your friends, don’t just text.

  2. Barb says:

Hey Paulie – I think your teeth issues are rubbing off on me- today I have a dull ache in my tooth/teeth/jaw.
Guess I get to go to the dentist sooner than later now.

Since weight loss (or striving toward) is a constant topic here, I’m posting a link to an excerpt to the book I’m reading:

    Here’s the book:

That man can turn a phrase. One of my favorite lines so far (out of many) is “My grandfather was a one-man country song.” It always slays me when someone can say so much in only a few words. The book definitely has me evaluating my relationship with food and drink.

    • Bonnie says:

“As every fat person knows, there’s no such thing as a cheap buffet—you always pay later, one way or another.” Huh.

      • ITP Lurker says:

Yes, that line spoke to me as well. I’m fortunate that I cannot abide buffets, but I certainly use other avenues to overindulge. Especially that damn ingrained “clean your plate” mentality that was wrongfully beat in to my head. It does no one any good for me to consume that I don’t really want or need.

In the book he does the math on his Wendy’s habit, and realized over the years he’s spent $50,000 at that restaurant alone, albeit $10 at a time, so you don’t ever notice…

He’s not preachy. He’s just real.

    • We all know someone who loves eating at buffets. 🙄

      • ITP Lurker says:

His “diet” plan is pretty simple:

        1. Count the number of calories you intake in a day.

        2. Count the number of calories you expend in a day.

        3. Always make sure that #1 is less than #2 on any given day. So buffets are still fair game if you offset…

He also says the only thing people lose from “fancy diets” is their money.
