I will be in training all day so expect radio silence from my end. Run wild, play while the cat’s away!

Went to spin class last night with Allan & HoPo, then we ruined it all with a couple beers and some food at the Cross Creek golf course bar & restaurant.

I think *THAT* is why I’ve gained 12 pounds since I started hashing 😂😂😂.

The eagle has landed in Dublin. All’s well, though she didn’t get much sleep on the flight.

HVAC has already called in and on his way. The dogs alerted a moment ago and I thought it was him, but just a false alarm.

Should have ridden last night but couldn’t get off the sofa. There might be a road ride this afternoon! The advantages of working from home.

And as I predicted, a crane will be used to clear up the Marta derailment. Kind of a CF getting home- the operator said we would be bussed from East Ponit to College Park, then said we would get the whole way.

Steve—look on the bright side, at least the HVAC didn’t go out during the summer! I’d rather be cold vs. hot as balls. I’ve had no AC in the middle of summer more than once—once for 12 days in July after “Hurricane Elvis” in Memphis that knocked out our power for 12 days. First world problems I know, but still…

It seems like we always lose heat, and not A/C. The guy was on time and quickly did the job. Had I realized what I was hearing a couple weeks ago, I could have saved a bunch of money… lesson learned.

  3. Experiencing another new pain today in a part of my body that has never really had pain. I wonder if this will just be a recurring experience for the remainder of my life…

Training starts in 15 minutes. Shutting down for the rest of the day.

    • ITP Lurker says:

I was all set to discuss puppies and butterflies today, but someone had to bring up pain. Ugh, buzz kill. 😉

      • Look, i don’t *want* pain. I’m trying to live without it and it keeps coming back in new and varied ways.

        • ITP Lurker says:

Never said you wanted it. I don’t think any of us do. My hidden point was about you loading extra pain on yourself by musing that this new malady is your forever new normal. As opposed to just acknowledging that while this moment, or this day even, might suck, what you’re feeling today really has no bearing whatsoever on what else might come down the line, good or bad. Pain sucks, but it sucks even more when we buy in to this is going to hurt forever. The sky is not falling.

In short, hang in there. We’ve all got aches and pains, all in our own myriad ways. You have by no means cornered the market, pal. And don’t pile on more pain than is necessary at any given time.

          • ITP Lurker says:

And hey, the CAT CAME BACK! Watch what you say! 😉 😉 😉

          • barb says:

the CAT CAME BACK? is that code?

my newest ache & pain is my left arm, seems to get tingly (like asleep) more often than it should. But – I just don’t worry about it….. figured I pinched a nerve or something.

          • ITP Lurker says:

Barb, in today’s post Paulie wrote “Run wild, play while the cat’s away!” So I did. 😉

          • barb says:

Lurker – you are so much more observant than me.

          • ITP Lurker says:

Only sometimes. I totally glossed over your arm pain the first time. It sounds sort of like carpal tunnel to me, as I’ve experienced similar things in the past. If you have any of those hand-grip things for exercising your hands, or exercise balls that you can squeeze with your hands, that tends to help me. I spend so much time on a keyboard that I’m always like one step ahead of carpal tunnel.

  4. Barb says:

Too much death this time of year – 1st Condo, now a long, long time Parrothead friend this time. She was in chronic awful health, but it still sucks.
My good friend Leslie found her, after no one had heard from her for a few days, she lives not too far away she swung by. I’m glad it wasn’t me, I’ve never found a dead body, and really hope to never do that.

    • ITP Lurker says:

Ay-yi-yi. I’m sorry for your loss.

    • Steve says:

      That would be no fun.

When I was real little, we had a neighbor who we were worried about. Dad boosted me up to a kitchen window and I climbed in and opened the door for him. I don’t recall if she was dead or injured.

  5. Yikes. What happened to the weather? When I drove into work it was sunny and now it’s nasty and raining.
