At the Waschsalon this morning. Last night’s caroling was okay, though I never got onto the swing of singing and the end, Fellini’s in Candler Park, was a bit of a cluster for such a large group (25 perhaps?).
Tuesday Tale of the Tape: 211.6 pounds (+2.0 from last week’s weigh-in); I feared today’s weigh-in realizing how much merry I had been making during the last week.
With no German class until 2019 it’s a rare “off Tuesday†for me. I’m hoping to cook some dinner and get a bit of exercise tonight.
I made a “Home Chef” meal last night- marinated salmon with braised cauliflower. The cauliflower was seasoned with “everything bagel” seasoning which awakened me at 01:30 and kept me awake for several hours. Ugh.
If you haven’t seen this video of the glitter bomb revenge on package thieves, this guy clearly has too much time on his hands, but it’s still pretty funny.

Barb, how’s Allan this morning?
-FP
We got Allan sprung from Piedmont about 6pm, once your heart is beating like its supposed to, they let you go. He did have to get put under to get zapped, so he’s supposed to take it easy today. He seems just fine. its been 2 years since this happened last, so it isn’t anything to really worry about at this point.
And he’s home today to entertain Mark, as Annette has work she has to get done, and yesterday he was driving her nuts all day. It was funny (but not funny to her….)
and – other Marietta news – Red Eyed Mule is getting kicked out of their location – landlord (the Come n Get It) is jacking up their rent.
So -they are moving closer to us – a closed Huddle House on South Marietta Pkwy.
It won’t have the charm of the other place, but at least they aren’t closing forever.
All good news from Marietta… ummm Red Eyed Mule!
Sucks for Red Eyed Mule, but that’s what happens when you lease…
Hopefully all continues well for Allan.
I’m suffering a bit from my chronic throat condition where I feel something is lodged in my throat and I can’t clear it. 😡
I’m guessing you have had it looked at – I always worry about stuff like that – is it nothing & just something you have to live with? Or, is it the start of something serious. (like Benny, who had throat cancer)
Went to an ENT a few years ago, no real conclusion. I think my brother suffers from the same thing.
Oh yeah, two other things from yesterday:
1. I registered for BRAG STU in late April.
2. I purchased the last six bottles of one of my favorite wines, Lolonis Ladybug Red, that I found at Mac’s Package Store last week. The winery is long out of business; the bottles were on clearance! 🙂
I remember seeing that label – had to look it up.
I have some wine at home from wineries that aren’t around anymore.
Sausal & Stryker from our CA trips. Such good Zinfandels – I know most of the Sausal vines got changed to Cabernet by some big huge winery (can’t remember which one) but I never heard what happened to the Stryker vines. I guess I need to do some research.
does STU price go up on January 1? I guess I need to get us registered.
We plan to get there Thursday early afternoon like the past few years.
Price goes up $11 to $99 on “12:01 AM on Mon, Dec 31, 2018†says the BRAG website.
I just registered us – gave the difference to the dream team.
Decided to blow a meat day on lunch. Trying a hamburger at Chuck’s Famous Sandwiches on 5th Street.
Pretty tasty burger and fries. Photo of my meal is on Instagram, where I am known as @insideperimeter.
since I’m not on Instagram – what kind of burger did you have?
I don’t see it on their menu, but it was called a “Cowboy Burger†– cheeseburger with bbq sauce and fried onions.
In Tech Square?
The boss took us out to Hudson’s Grill. Too long a wait for only OK bar food.
Across the street from Tech Square, on the same side of the street as Amazon, Waffle House, etc.
