I planned to vote early and then reward myself with a couple of vegan donuts at Revolution Doughnuts. I accomplished one of these tasks, venture to guess which one? 🙄

Vegan doughnuts have got to be wrong on some level!!

Shoveling out my emails from last week. Apparently, things were actually happening and were handled. Sometimes, it’s the simple things in life.

Errands were completed yesterday. Yard mowed, feed purchased, truck washed, ice cream consumed, naps taken. Tickets to West Side Story at the Atlanta Opera purchased. It was a pretty good day.

Ghost tours of the Fox start tomorrow. Sounds like a fun time, but not sure we can pull it together.

    • The pumpkin spice cake doughnut was a bit dense, but the cappuccino caramel yeast-raised one was amazing. Wait, is yeast an “animal”? 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m with you, Steve. If I’m gonna do a donut, I’m gonna go big or go home. Which for me is Sublime Donuts on 10th. Revolution’s product is just meh to me and I never feel it was worth the calories. But that’s OK, it ensures adequate supply for you and Bonnie. 🙂

Separately, what happened to Stacy? Did she join the fold of ITP Lurkers?

      • I have big love for Sublime too. You could feed me the cappuccino caramel doughnut any day and I would never have known it is vegan.

Oh yeah, today’s lunch is a bbq provided by the office building so it’s definitely a meat day regardless of the fact that I started with vegan doughnuts. 😁

Not sure what happened to Stacy. To the best of my knowledge I have done nothing to piss her off… 🙄

  2. One of the reasons I get irked by government:

    – tattoo parlor wants to add a bar in shop, it’s legal to do so Kasim Reed’s administration reacts by adding a clause stating you can’t open an alcohol-selling establishment within 300 feet of a tattoo parlor
    – this law is still in effect today
    – space where Sabbath Brewing is to open is 200 feet from a tattoo parlor
    – Sabbath is ready to sell beer, but must wait for an exemption

Read the whole story in Good Beer Hunting’s Story about Sabbath Brewing in EAV

Grrr. Here’s hoping he prevails. *That’s* what we need in EAV, not cross-fit, co-working, and yet another coffeeshop. Of course that crap will all sail through the permitting process.

Lunch at Firepit Pizza today (http://www.firepitatl.com/) in the Larkin complex on Memorial. It was fine, doubt that I’ll go back. Their pizzas were too precious for me to try, average price of $18 for a personal pizza. Another case of been there, done that.

Lunch was RRReal Tacos on 5th St, after making a stop at the CVS for a battery. RRReally good. Roasted Brussel sprouts and carnitas tacos.
