Still buzzing from last night’s amazing ITP Anniversary gala — free food and beer, and I was able to convince REM to get back together for one live performance! I’m surprised none of you attended… 🙂
Yesterday I paid someone to rid my carport of a yellow jacket nest. I sprayed the crap out of the remaining woodpile again this morning in hopes of getting it all out the carport tomorrow.
Last night I got a fantastic bit of exercise, walking three-plus miles to and from Eventide, plus “running†whatever distance the hash was. I’d be on top of the world today if my body would just stop hurting.
Tuesday Tale of the Tape: 206.6 pounds (-4.6 from last week’s weigh-in), I certainly don’t feel that “lightâ€. I even weighed myself twice to ensure some degree of accuracy.
I tried to make it but Atlanta traffic made me turn back. 😉
Understood. I was going to hold it in Piedmont Park, but the amount of security needed for that many people was too much. 🙂
For any weather nerds looking to keep an eye on Hurricane Michael – CNN Storm Tracker
Did you see what our weather is supposed to be like after Michael? Oh, the weekend looks divine! (highs only middle 70s)
It was a busy day, though completely exercise free. Talked to AT&T about testing a hotspot at the house. Not just no, but hell no. We don’t do that anymore after so many people just kept them. Talked to Verizon about new phones- oh we don’t sell the S7 anymore… but Best Buy does. Grrrr.
Picked up lumber from HD and built sign stanchions. My nailer was loaded with short nails and I didn’t realize until too late- not enough bite, so had to go back and renail.
Quiet evening watching a series on the Mercury/Gemini/Apollo space missions. Fascinating.

Oh, in looking for storm info yesterday I happened upon this link-

This is serious weather nerd data. (raises hand)
Whoa 😮
*Fist bump*. I too am down an unexpected 3.5 pounds, and I don’t feel that “light†either. Perhaps setting some beer limits this weekend helped after all… and biking, walking and hashing… hmmm who knew 😮. I drank one extra beer at HMH4 and a half extra at AMH4… pretty good for me. 🙂
Since I didn’t get to go bike riding perhaps house cleaning, and worrying about yellow jackets and my health also helped me?
Back from Iowa – co-worker who was covering for me yesterday called out – so I have no idea what happened yesterday. She did ok- but I am so lost at the moment as to what all she did.
I got my good karma points last night helping my elderly seatmate get from Concourse D to Concourse B for her connecting flight.
Nice. The world so needs such kindnesses. 👊ðŸ¼
Awww welcome home, Barb. 🙂 And bless you for the kindness. She was lucky to have you as a seatmate.
She was elderly, like 56? 🙂
Good on ya!
hahahahaha – well, her son was 56 she told me (he works way too much, etc, etc,) – so, do the math……….
Hey!! Wait a Fking minute…
Good on you Barb, your eagle scout husband must have been so proud!
Random acts of kindness is what we need more of.
Allan has caught raccoon #3 – this one’s new home is on the West side, near the waterworks.
Getting ready to eat a pre-German class dinner and watch motorists yell at each other as they are stuck in traffic.
