This hasnรขโ‚ฌโ„ขt been the greatest summer for my teeth. If the pain that I started experiencing Monday continues, and it seems to be getting worse, I will have another unscheduled trip to my dentist in the near future. Dangen!

    dental work – no fun!

it is Allan’s last day in Inspections – he offered to follow up on the buildings that aren’t complete with their repairs (getting paid in comp time, working on his days off) and they said no – just make good notes. So- he’s really done today!
First day back at the firehouse is Friday! I told him I was going to throw a surprise party for him tonight, but he said no. I don’t really want to plan anything for tonight, so that’s ok. We will have a party some weekend, just not sure when yet.

Ah man, I am not going to see Allan at the ATL UTD games any more ๐Ÿ™

Congrats to him though, I’m sure he is thrilled!

      • Barb says:

nope – we may have to buy 2 tickets now – so I can finally go to a game.
AND YES – HE IS SO HAPPY!
and – no free Rick Springfield/Loverboy etc for him now – we had to buy him a ticket! Hopefully he can keep is parking pass (hopefully they won’t notice he kept it) so we can atleast have good parking Sunday night.

      Hooray for Allan!!!

  2. Steve says:

Congratulations Allan!! Where is he going to be stationed?

And the old bridge is back in place with only a minimum of grinding and shoving. Even when you lose your bridge for less than 2 weeks, the toothies will shift. Not bad thought.

Managed 3 miles of running/walking last night after a serious rainstorm went through. Humidity was off the scale.

YAY! Congratulations to Allan! I’m happy for him. Yes, what Steve said: where is he going to be?

    • Barb says:

So – he is going to be a “rover” for right now – filling in for LTs and Captains at different stations when they are out. He’s #2 on the provisional Captains list right now (he was 11, and they promoted 9) so he figures he will get an permanent station hopefully by maybe Thanksgiving. This will be good, so he can remember what to do, he’s been an office worker for 15 months, he’s out of practice.

  4. Barb says:

Oh – and if he stays on B shift – he has to work Thanksgiving Day – so what do you all think about having our Thanksgiving extravaganza on Friday?
We can’t plan anything quite yet (if he makes Captain, it could be on A or C shift, which means he’s off Thanksgiving Day) – so just thinking & pre-planning.
And- my parents will be here – I know you all want to come meet my mom& dad????
(They will be here Thursday afternoon thru Saturday -should be challenging)

    • Barb says:

      TUESDAY (not Thursday)
no edit for me on this website.

        My condolences, Barb. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • Stacy Fox says:

I will most likely have to work on Friday, but I’d love to come join you after! It would be a short day anyway I assume. ๐Ÿ™‚

      Wow, Thanksgiving plans already….

      • Barb says:

just thinking about it (& other stuff that is changed now that Allan’s back to every 3rd day). It totally changes how we plan things.
And – also trying to figure out how to entertain my parents………

I had a crown replaced a couple weeks ago, root canal was done years ago so it was just a little grinding that needed to be done to prepare. Still cost me $600 though, dental work sucks!

  6. Barb says:

AND PAULIE- I have a little poison ivy on my wrist from Sunday, I know it had to have happened at the very end getting up that damn hill to Donna’s house. DAMN IT!
