All of these people, and additionally Glory Mole who was nice enough to take this photo, showed up to last night’s trail and received a free beer at Eventide Brewing purchased by yours truly.

If You Missed The Moonlight Hash You Missed Getting A Free Beer From Me

I think trail was alright. My only disappointment was finding out that someone mowed the waist-high grass I was going to get everyone to hash through.

Tuesday Tale of the Tape: 207.2 pounds (-1.8 from last week’s weigh-in). Hot Diggity!

  1. Oh the humidity! I mowed the lawns and showered this morning, but cannot stop sweating!

A nice crowd for Monday night. Had you laid trail near us, the marks would have been long gone, as about 6:15, the skies opened and it rained really hard for about 20 minutes.

And of course this morning, I have a card to reseat and get back online, MARTA decides it won’t be running on schedule. While I got it done, I was pushing the time window.

What are the big plans this weekend? The forecast looks poor…

Hittin’ the road! I think now that my car is all set to road trip but the road trip is still a month away, I’ve been getting that antsy feeling. So last night I invited myself down to a friend’s in Savannah 😉 How rude, right? …thankfully she seemed excited about the idea. We’ll hang out there for a day, then head down to Florida for a party on the beach! Whoop whoop! Best self-invite EVER. I think this should cute the wander lust for a month.

      How about everyone else?

      • Barb says:

That’s awesome Stacy!!!! I have no problem with self invites – I love when people come visit us.
(you can come stay in Marietta any time…….)

        • Stacy says:

Awww yay! I’ll take you up on that, Barb. We should have a “welcome new sod!” party. 🙂 (any reason to celebrate….)

          • Barb says:

no driving home!!!! that’s why we throw parties!
and – who knows, we may have a “come look at the new sod” party.

    • Potentially getting very wet hashing all weekend with the camp out at Fort Yargo State Park. Hoping the weather people continue to be mostly wrong.

      • Barb says:

I didn’t realize you were going to Yargo Paulie. Are you going to Wheelhop? Who knows, we may show up for trail Sunday. Is it Black Sheep?

    • Barb says:

We aren’t up to much – Allan has to work the Kenny Chesney concert at the Benz Saturday night….. its the 1st concert since the Garth Brooks sound issues – “they” say the sound is fixed, Allan will be able to tell us from 1st hand experience.
Felicia & her husband (who never leaves St Croix) are coming into town, its time to ship the car they have here to the island. So, they have to drive it to Ft. Lauderdale to put on a boat. I’m getting together with them Saturday night.

Sunday & Monday are still wide open.

      • Steve says:

So is she no longer commuting to Atlanta?

        • Barb says:

No, she still has to come to town, but they needed a “new” car in St Croix. I guess you have to have a 100% paid for car to ship it.
AND – her boss agreed (offered) to pay for a rental car when she is here. Win/Win!!!

    • Monday also marks my 19th Analiversary of hashing. My first hash was Memorial Day, 1999.

As of yet no one has stepped up to lay trail next Monday. Not it!

  3. I guess I have never previously walked 5 miles / 2 hours in my work boots and cotton socks (bad choice) because I have some blistering today. I wore the boots because I was going through shifty I had never been through before.

  4. bob says:

Looks like a fun crowd there. I miss hashing but not poison ivy! I basically had a PI rash the entire time I hashed. I miss some of the people though, fun times.

I actually have minimal plans this weekend, neighborhood pool is opening so I’m sure some pool and grilling time will happen.

I’m also trying to coordinate BRAG logistics, it is incredibly frustrating trying to get people who do not communicate well to communicate. There is a very good chance I will not do BRAG next year.

    • Barb says:

Bob – I’m trying to talk Allan into doing Friday & Saturday – then I could come get people on Saturday. Feel free to work on him for that. But – he hasn’t ridden, so I don’t know if he will want to ride at y’alls pace. He’s gotten used to riding slower with me.

    • Didn’t go through much PI last night, hoping to avoid getting the rash for the rest of this year; it’ll be a miracle if I can.

  5. Barb says:

we are having a potluck here – a girl brought in an air fryer. I may have to splurge & get one – its pretty freaking cool. I think it would be great for when we remodel the kitchen – just plug it in & get crispy food!!!!

    • Funny, I read this after eating a veggie burger wrap with fries and thinking “starting next week I need to incorporate more actual vegetables into my 5/7th vegetarian diet.” I suppose “air fried” vegetables are still vegetables. 😂😂😂

  6. Just paid for six months of auto insurance. Damn do I feel as if I am getting screwed. I think I know how State Farm can afford that fancy-ass new building in Sandy Springs.

    • Barb says:

Our State Farm just kept going up & up, so we switched to USAA. Costs a little less, but we changed some coverages around, etc., so I feel we have better coverage for about the same money. I’d just heard such good things about USAA, figured why not. BUT – I was just reading about Everquote, an small Atlanta start up company that compares insurance for you. Try that??? and tell me about it???

      • I looked at USAA years ago and think that either I didn’t qualify or found it hard to prove that I do.

Perhaps I will try Everquote, whose name reminds me of the old hasher “Everqueer”.

        • Steve says:

I think since Barb and I are both USAA members, you could get in. Say the word.

        • Barb says:

For USAA you have to have a family member that was military that already uses them. We “MADE” TJ get a policy, so we could join up. he started with just the new house. I think he has switched everything over from State Farm now.
          Whatever happened to Everqueer??
Maybe you can get a new job with Everquote? I think you are hipster enough.
