I didnÒ€ℒt have time to do a proper exercise yesterday, so I walked from East Atlanta to the Variety Playhouse in Little Five Points. I summoned a Lyft for a ride home.

gotta get a whole days worth of work done in half a day –

I have not even started packing, trying to work and pack at the same time. I’m sure I’ll forget some stuff.

Y’all have a great time- don’t forget the beer.

I’m currently having to plan a work trip to New Orleans… boo hoo!!

2.6 mile walk at lunch yesterday and ready to work out at lunch today. Now if I could only think about running at the office! So far, no interest.

Walked in to work today – what a lovely morning! (pics on the ‘Gram) Plus it also forces me to walk home*, which means I’ll have 5 miles foot traffic in at least today, even if not all at once.

*force is a strong word considering Lyft and MARTA are right here, but still.

Had a nice time stomping around Piedmont Park yesterday evening, helping to pick up trash. What was super sweet was when park patrons would run or bike by us and just give us a little “thank you, guys.” It made my night. πŸ™‚

Any readers who’d like to join us, a group of us are going out to Constitution Lakes Park (aka The Dolls’ Heads’ Trail) to do the same on Sunday morning, 11am. (Arranged by Steve Novotny – aka Davey Crochett) Giving back on Earth Day!

      Thanks for cleaning up!

Wish I could join you on Sunday, but I wonÒ€ℒt be home from Rutledge in time to do so.

      • Stacy says:

There will be other times! πŸ™‚ In fact, the next Piedmont Park one is on May 30 if anyone wants to join me then too (again a Wednesday) — it’s from 5-7:30, so super easy to do after work for you Midtown employees. I can remind when it gets closer if anyone wants.

And have fun all of you going this weekend! To whatever the heck this is. I know it’s a biking thing? I don’t know what exactly but hope y’all have a great time and fantastic weather.

Dang, that’s tempting…I love the Doll’s Head Trail. I’m curious though, how will you know what’s trash and what isn’t? πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰ If the weather is good on Sunday I need to reclaim my own yard from nature, and I think it’s finally safe to plant tomatoes. That Doll’s Head Trail event almost lured me in.

      • Stacy says:

Ha! Very good point! πŸ™‚ I reckon we’ll just take the obvious, like candy bar wrappers or whatnot around there. The rest of the park it should be more obvious. (that whole lake is gorgeous!)

I’m totally tempted to add some art though. Like, run on over to a dollar store and find some babies to add. It’s been two years since I’ve done Doll’s Head Trail (with ITP here to boot!). I think anyone is able to see this link, even if you don’t have Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10153430768021630.1073741863.654896629&type=1&l=5157bd5a8e

But homegrown fresh tomatoes! Oh, that sounds so good! There’s nothing like a fresh tomato sandwich in the summertime.

        • ITP Lurker says:

I think the curator of the park will discard any store bought additions, but take a Sharpie so you can embellish what’s there if you like. There’s some fun additions simce you saw it last!

I usually grow grape tomatoes, but maybe I’ll try my luck with a regular tomato plant too. The squirrels always seem to get my neighbors big tomatoes.

          • Stacy says:

I figured that for most things (there’s a sign encouraging folks to only use items they find) but the doll heads have to come from somewhere, right?

          • ITP Lurker says:

Touché! πŸ™‚ Just be sure to take them on a hash first, so that they’ll look natural when you put them on the trail. πŸ˜‰

          • Stacy says:

LOL! I probably won’t though. I’m one of those stupid sappy people who would probably look at a sweet little dolly and think: “all she wanted to be was loved by some little girl…instead, she ended up alone in the woods with no one to hold her.” And then OMG I couldn’t!

(Velveteen Rabbit did a number on me when I was a kid) πŸ˜‰

          • ITP Lurker says:

            Wow, *that* was a rabbit hole… πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

          • Stacy says:

HAHAHAHA indeed. I may need to have them check my meds when I go back. πŸ˜‰

Getting on the road to STU!!!
