Many thanks to all who came out for my hash last night. It certainly wasn’t the hardest hash ever, you’re welcome 🙂, and when everyone was in I was relieved and relaxed.
Tuesday Tale of the Tape: 210.0 pounds (-0.2 from the last week’s weigh-in)
I was sitting with Oops and ACF at the end and they were saying they haven’t seen that many folks/new folks again out for a Moonlite in a long time. Well done, Wee! 🙂 I’ve a pretty little scrape on my arm to remember you by for the next few days.
Thanks. I was further relieved when I noticed that there was no one inside eating (obviously due to the nice weather) and that we could take over the space.
I hear there was a basketball game last night? 🙄
Good job, sir! A nice little trail, not a road rage, and still home by 11:00.
My car is acting up again- something in the battery/connection/grounding system. It started fine last night, but this morning got in (had lights and key warning) and turned the key and everything shut off. Got out and jiggled ground wires at the battery several times and was finally able to start. Once at Marta, shut off and would not restart, so I have that to look forward to today.

I like charging only $1 for the hash, because that helped me not feel guilty for having a trail shorter than four miles.
My GPS showed 3.9, so you didn’t miss by much. And if it was much darker, your circle jerk would have been harder. Blue chalk not show up so good.
Yes that ^^^. I had a baby flashlight on me and people were teasing me about it, but in the end they realized that it wasn’t such a bad idea. 😉
As for the less than 4 miles, I don’t know why folks think they have to be any longer than that anyway, especially for a Monday night. I remember 6+ mile Monday nights (I, sadly, was guilty of co-haring one myself once) and seriously that is ridiculous. Save those for weekends. People have work the next day and being out so late on a Monday can totally screw up your work rhythm for the whole week. The length of yours was perfect.
Yes, what Stacy said. Hashing is about having fun, and from what’s being reported, everyone had a great time. You put yourself out there, and the world didn’t end. Look at that! I hope you find a way to use this experience as a stepping stone to more good things.
I got some inspiration in an unlikely place a while back, from an interview with Ellen Burstyn (https://www.wnycstudios.org/story/how-ellen-burstyn-learned-survival/). I had no clue how bad-ass she is. One of the things she does now is has “should-free” days where the word should is banned from her vocabulary. Your shoulda, coulda, woulda mindset is keeping your shoelaces tied together. Let that shit go.
Blue was the only color I had left otherwise I wouldn’t have used it.
And Steve, if you need a co-hare for your “statue trail†holler at me.
Last night sounded fun, wish we could have made it.
Allan was in a weird mood, I thought maybe because it was his birthday, but it was more he was thinking about the accident & the motorcycle being gone. We ended up going up the street for some Mexican food, nothing exciting.
I think I got most of you ITP readers invited, but party at our place Sunday 4/8. Cooking a pork butt – bring an app or side (if you want) or just bring a beverage.
Party will officially start at 3pm, hopefully we will be eating about 5-5:30.
If you are bringing something food wise – let me know, so I can coordinate.
I will be there Barb. I’ll reserve a “meat day†for that day. I’ll bring beer, and a side dish.
