Watching the anticipation build for tomorrow’s reveal of my weight and exercise summary. Speaking of, I must find time to exercise today.
Oh, and I made a photograph yesterday.

Nice! Many moons ago I spent 9 years working in the second building on the right.
“Our Lady of the Painful Member” in the foreground. Very nice.
Years ago, I worked at Federal Home Loan Bank, at 1475 Peachtree (Pershing Point) and the computer room was on the 7th floor, looking East. A great view over the trees into the neighborhood and wonderful views of the sun rise.
The first meal from Hello Fresh was prepared (by yours truly) last night. Pork tacos with black bean salsa. Well designed, simple directions, all inclusive except for oil to cook. Tasty. Spoke to a coworker who uses “Home Chef”. Similar deal, similar price point.

Oh yeah, I am afraid that I will have to pass on walking tomorrow. I am already double-booked for the evening, and there is a 90% chance of thunderstorms. Next week perhaps?
Any day but Friday…
so – I had a job interview yesterday afternoon. I think it went well – I hope to hear from them soon. Seems like a great little company – family owned, less than 20 employees. They have a very niche market of international refrigerated food shipments. It would be different – but similar enough that I think I could learn it quickly. Down side is I think the pay will be less, and of course the vacation time would be less. And- commute would be 20-30 minutes – all back roads to Roswell.
The daughter is going out on maternity leave probably in about a month -so I think I will hear from them sooner than later.
Woo Hoo!! Sounds great. Once you have offer in hand, you could take it to the current boss to see if he would sweeten your current deal. I know that’s not ideal, but the current job does have some advantages…
I can get more money here – but the job & all the crazy shit will never change……….
Add in the commute and you might be substituting one kind of crazy for another.
Having an other option that you decline can sometimes make the present situation a bit more bearable, at least in the short-term. I very much live by better the devil that you know versus the one that you don’t. But sometimes it’s just time to jump ship, no matter what. Good luck with your search and your decision-making.
Lurker – that is why I’ve stayed her for almost 12 years – I know this devil.
but – we will see what the offer is – the commute will be longer, but I go past stores I need to shop at AND THE YMCA on the way home- so maybe I’ll start going to the gym again.
there are lots of pros & cons to consider.
All set to go get my “2:00pm coffee†only to realize it’s only 12:40pm. Talk about your long days…
